ive just lost 100sr and now have a hour ban for no reason, nothing wrong with my internet, games running fine, half way thru a game i get dropped from the game and wont let me reconnect, after restarting bnet was able to get back into my first game and was able to finish, still received a 50sr loss even with a win, then kings row on my second game i get d/c at the end of the first round on def, then again try to long back in, have to log using my auth, only to receive a 50 sr penilty and a 1 hour ban, what the hell is going on?
p.s i had a game of QP in between with zero issues, soon as i get into comp i get dropped from the game
Greetings, internet issues where your own connection is not dropping is likely the sign of a problem between you and the game server. To figure out what is going on please try to work through the WinMTR test procedure. Please note, avoid Competitive Play until any issues are identified and resolved as penalties will not be reversed.
Connection starts okay (30ms to your own router is pretty high and should be less than 10ms), and then it starts lagging inside the ISP network. Above I noted where the ping is hitting 175-207ms before reaching Blizzard. This is because the connection is going from New Zealand to California.
Edit: If you are not playing on the North American servers, then we don’t need to look at a WinMTR that tests the connection to NA servers.
what about my account penalty that led to Junkertown being disabled due to a map glitch that was SENDING PLAYERS IN THE MATCH A WARNING ABOUT LEAVING THAT KICKED SAID PLAYERS FOR ACCEPTING THIS LOCKED ''ACCEPT LEAVER PENALTY" SCREEN? at no point did my connections have issues i was actively using blizzard comms with a 6 stack group… i asked hey guys we are in the match and they are like yeah you should pick someting it started already why are you afk?? i was no guys im here but blizzard is forceing me to accept a leaver penalty?? i did not want to accept this false penalty but then the game timer for afking started and i was forced to either be manually kicked by blizzard bcus my game was on a lock screen about “accept leaver queue” or accept this absolutely false flag warning for leaving… so i hit okay and was immediately kicked and punished? THIS WAS GOING TO BE A PROMO MATCH but nope instead of moving up in ranked i was forced to queue with toxic leavers and for the next twenty matches i was subjected to extreme amounts of death threats from nearly every player on my team simply for making in-game relevant comms about “the reaper is behind us again” …
i play on aussie servers with a 61ms avg ping, what you see me pinging us servers blizzard provided. so that is a US ping not a aussie ping, the whole time i was playing ym ping never changed
The WinMTR wasn’t run with the correct server IP if you’re not playing on North American servers. Please carefully follow the instructions from the link in the first reply:
Overwatch
You can use the in-game Network Graph to find your server’s IP address.
Launch Overwatch and click Play → Game Browser.
Use the + Create button to create your own match.
Click the ADD AI button and click Add.
Start the game.
After the map loads, press Ctrl+Shift+N to open the Network Graph.
The server’s IP address is listed in the upper left of the graph.
7.Note: You need to remove the port and preceding colon (12.345.67.89:PORT) from the IP address before running a test.*
You may want to copy the IP that you see while playing Quick Play or Competitive, instead of creating your own game. Ctrl+Shift+N will open the netgraph in any game mode. You can also run multiple tests and provide all of them here.
Note: Capturing a disconnect from Overwatch while the WinMTR is running is the best way to determine the cause of the connection issue.
