I was hoping for something more, than just 3 x 5 minute long minies. Better than nothing i guess, so ofcourse i’ll watch it, assuming they are going to be free 2 watch…
id rather have 50 minute episodes, than a measily itty bitty 5 minutes.

never really cared for actual “anime” type art. overwatch intriqued me because of the pixar animted style shorts they had… now pixar is something that i really liked. like some of disney’s pixar movies. “wreck it ralph” for example.
still there was a couple of animes i liked. watched ghost in a shell. an adult anime called “kite” … basically anything futuristic and cyberpunk. when i saw the animated cyberpunk 2077 animated short i thought it was pretty awesome since a fan of the world lore space that was cyberpunk 2077. games and the old roleplaying books i use to see in stores. like late 80s and throughtout the 90s
also the sci-fi blade runner movie that kind of invented cyberpunk i think? 80s movie with harrison ford and its sequel like 8 years ago blade runner 2049. the producer made an anime short to get you back into the blade runner world…was a pretty cool anime short that was 15 minutes
the was also a blade runner animated series on netflix that i partly watched. only watched 2 episodes but it was a full season. i think it got cancelled since not a lot of popularity.
also its wierd but what got me into the futuristic cyberpunk genre is actually an adult anime from the 80s (heavy metal (1981) and heavy metal 2000 (2000)… the heavy metal movies based on the heavy metal magazines. kind of like adult art stuff that i actually was exposed to as a kid. my parents were negligent lawl
Maybe these are just episodes done to test the waters of how well a longer Overwatch series would be recieved?
why not do a whole series, since…ya know…there’s no campaign anymore?

I think at the end that’s Aurora? (the first omnic to gain sentience and who sacrificed herself to give it to everyone else)
They didn’t cancel it. They cancelled non story related randomly generated mission PvE with upgradeable heroes. PvE story mode is starting next season.
I wish the episodes were longer but it is a start, guys
that’s just Archives stuff. Nothing at all compared to what they showed us years ago

The highly replayable mode is gone and we have Archives missions instead,oh I’m sooooo happy.
