It not the same at all, but the closest experience is probably something like Apex Legends?
New Borderlands is pretty good too.
Is the multiplayer pvp experience reliant on stuff u get in PvE?
Very old but Team Fortress 2. Overwatch basically took from it for inspiration.

Yes, but even the super easy to get weapons are good. There’s very little difference between exotics and just rares and if there is, in the 50+ PvE games I’ve played it hasn’t been noticeable. Plus you earn a ton of items just by playing the PvP, so technically you don’t even have to do the PvE at all.

I fail to see why playing a character in their game would support Hongkong. I undestand she is from china but a rise in mei’s playrate wouldn’t really help anyone.

It’s not about playing it, but associating it.
Winnie the Pooh has been banned in China for being associated to the president as a way to mock him.
If Mei is widely associated to the protests they’ll most likely either censor the character (remove it) or the game entirely.

They most likely would remove Mei from the game for Chinese audience than banning the game.

If they delete Mei, they wont stop at Mei.
Ok then I understand why it can help if the symbol gets big enough. But wouldnt you need to make sure that blizzard actually understands why Mei is being played? I feel like it can simply look like mei is becoming meta since she already is ok in the meta.
The closest experience is paladins. They’re both class based objective oriented hero shooters

It’s not just within the game, but in social medias.
It’s scary what happens when enough people join a cause. In a good way.
Paladins, TF2 for similar gameplay. D2, CS:GO for something little different. Splatoon if you own a switch, james bond if you like your classics.
