Overwatch account's get perma banned with no explain

All the money you have expent, is lost with no reason. They just ban an account and don’t explain the reason. They just do it. Take care guys.

I hope something is done about this to resolve it hopefully Microsoft can look into the issue or assist with getting the issue looked at because it’s something that is hopefully going to get addressed soon…

I feel scared to even play nowadays with how many people are reporting this happening to them…

:sob:

When an account is perma banned, there should be an evidence.
You open tickets to support, and no answer. Only an automated answer where it says: ‘you broke the policy’s blizzard game.’
As I said, take care. I think hundred’s of account’s are banned recurrently.
Any report you get from anyone, can finish in this.
That’s why there are so few people playing Overwatch. Because most of them has been perma-banned for no reason.

Hacking and cheating is what I hope the reason is.

You can hope, and think whatever you want. But you’ll never know. They permaban. and that’s all.
It could be that you did more dmg with a moira that someone who report you, tought…
It could be playing hanzo when there was 2 more dps in team and someone reported you.
It could be ‘the system’ who ‘think’s’ that you were cheating…
It could be that you punished hard a team of 3, and they all reported you for say ‘ez’

But you’ll never know.

It doesn’t just have to be about cheating.

You can get reported for sabotaging too many games, because they didn’t want to play the game and didn’t want to leave the game in fear for the 30mins suspensions. Having so many report of it will get your account ban. This was extremely common back in OW1 when sym, torb, and hanzo were a throw pick.

You can also get ban for consistently duo queuing with a cheater.

Yep. I’ve seen tons of comments lately of people who have gotten banned. Blizzard never explains the reason to why people are banned. When people are falsely banned for “cheating” (which doesn’t say much), they can’t even contact Blizzard with the account being affected. Blizzard even bans these players from seeking help from support and they get automated bot messages some seconds later after they post them.

I really hope Blizzards communication improves because innocent players who are not going against any rules shouldn’t be losing their account because their anti-cheat has produced some false positive.

For instance “cheating” doesn’t say much since it can mean using prohibited software but it can also mean “boosting an account”. For people who have been checking on the forums for some time knows that it isn’t the first time that Blizzard’s anti cheat has produced false-positives. For example an update on HyperX NGENUITY caused the OW2 anti-cheat to trigger and you saw probably hundredths of comments on forums of people affected. They a week later got unbanned probably since the support got so many tickets about the issue.

But what happens in instances when perhaps a less used software are triggering the anti-cheat? People should be able to have the right to contact support with their banned account and not have to create a new one just to speak with them.

I sometimes feel scared aswell. I literally have to remind myself to turn off programs like Logitech G-Hub (which I use to see how much battery I have on my mouse), and everything else that isn’t Chrome.

Good news, they answered me, 4 days later, but they answered me.
I hope in the future they explain it in the 1st email, not after 4 days.

In my case, they did it for being ‘ironic’ and write: ‘ez’, ‘hahaha’ or gg when game isn’t finished. For saying ‘this is the way’ too when it is said when you won enemy team hardly.

That’s the level guys. That’s the level.

So I’ve decided to disable chat since today so i won’t express any emotions the game creates. That’s what they want. They want all of us to be like stones. No feelings, no expressions, no nothing.
No one will communicate in Overwatch. At least, not in ironic way.
Overwatch, will be like an infancy park where all is happiness and goodness.
But Overwatch is PEGI 12. With 12 years kids knows a lot of worse things than saying gg, ez or hahaha in derogatory way.

This are the rules guys. And we all accepted it. Play silenced or don’t play. This is their way.

Another thinking about this is that, if they don’t want the way you write in chat… why don’t they silence you forever, instead of suspend you the account forever?
They don’t want you hurt others in chat, but they hurt you with no mercy.
Again this is their way,
A lot of things may change in blizzard after microsoft buy. And this is the first one.

I could understand this in a PEGI 3 game. But this is PEGI 12.

SVB just talked about this on stream. He question what on earth his chat were saying in games to get the notice or even actioned.

He gets so much hate when he plays, and being a streamer, is prime target for mass “false” reporting… But has never once had the warning.

So, no you aren’t being banned with out something being there. If you don’t know what it is, maybe you should do some self reflection. If it is some third party software triggering it… Nothing you can do but remove it and start a fresh account.

If you got a perma for that, you will have been suspended a few times already. Should have learnt from those.

poor baby

People really out here thinking blizzard is as lenient as other companies when it comes to enforcing their policies

That’s a great point. Why perma ban people who has said something in chat that someone don’t like? Especially in your case for just saying “ironic” or “ez”? In worst case scenario I think a silience suspension should be at most since what you say in chat doesn’t mean you have to be intentionally playing bad like AFK or something in that style.

As long as players are not cheating or intentionally playing bad I don’t think players should be banned from playing the game.

Woke companies never need a reason.
