Overwatch 2 is in a really bad spot right now when it comes to cheating. It’s becoming more and more common to run into matches with 4 or 5 players using obvious hacks—wallhacks, aimbots. What’s worse is that many of them are doing it openly, and yet they seem to face no consequences.
It’s honestly frustrating to play competitive matches knowing that cheaters are rarely caught or banned in a timely manner. I don’t understand how this level of blatant cheating is slipping through the cracks. If Blizzard doesn’t start taking this issue seriously, it’s going to push more legit players away from the game.
I still love Overwatch at its core, but the current state of anti-cheat enforcement is making it hard to enjoy. Has anyone seen any official response or signs that this is being addressed?

Yeah I feel like I’ve seen a bit of cheating in the matches I’ve been in, having players stand still and turret, or having far better aim than they should based on how they panic and move.
because the ppl that make cheats call it ´´legit cheating´´ they do not see them self as cheaters. i also stop playing evey time i try because you watch 1 replay and you just like that guy is a cheater and that and that and that guy aswell.

3 years ago, when I started playing OW2, I told everyone that the game is facing rampant cheating. Nothing has changed ever since. It’s gotten even worse.
Not to mention, they are doing total damage control and defending cheaters. You can not post replays of cheaters, you can not name them and asking to do something about cheating in the forums most of the time leads to topic deletion.
Talk about cheaters and cheaters jump in to derail the topic and fake flag, it even gets mods involved, who are defending cheaters and their shady company who are not doing anything to stop this rampant cheating.
With 3 years of experience here and facts, it is like that. Cheaters are being protected and they do not want you to talk about how bad the cheating problem is.
We stopped playing TF2 because 60% are using known aimbot. They cheat in groups and when you call out cheater, they all callvote kick you from server.
Same is with OW2. Like, only a few are using obvious rage hacking cheats, most are using the same “undetected” “leggit” cheats that have been operating since 2016.
Almost 10 years and blizzard can not deal with 5 known cheats are still there “undetected”???
Streamers cheating, devs cheating, players cheating. Console XIMing paradise. Business. They earn money from cheaters. I would not be surprised if some devs are leaking codes for cheater developers and earning commission by that. Shady company.
It’s obvious that only the EU can stop this, at least for the EU playerbase, by passing strict laws to deal with cheaters and protect non cheating players against cheaters.

kinda the age old silent tale of game companies ignore cheaters because game devs are receiving payouts from cheatware companies to ignore them.
This isn’t the first time a company has leaked out their code after a patch in order to profit off of cheating.
Its no different than sports steroids.
But i will say this much. The Finals is waaaaaaaay worse than Overwatch, and so is battebit.
Oh, and “hell let loose” nothing like getting clipped by players that have zero LOS of you from battlebit or HLL. and a person cant see them, yet they just happen to use an smg and land a 500yard head-pick. yup…
Oh well, the day is coming when games demand government issued ID to play and people are going to be up in arms about privacy, etc etc etc and age restrictions.
it is absolutely nothing like steroids. cheats play the game for you.
