My sensitivity in Overwatch 2 feels much lower than Overwatch 1. I use 8.50 sensitivity at 400 DPI in Overwatch 1 and in Overwatch 2, 8.50 feels more like 8.00. Are the same games using the same sensitivities?
I felt like something feels off too between OW1 and OW2.
However I think it’s more about hitboxes. They feel much smaller, like it’s less forgiving. I noticed that especially with Ana and Zarya.
It also feels like the cursor reacts faster to the mouse input, more raw than before.
There could still be some things different about the sensitivity too but moving the mouse over the whole mousepad in OW1 and OW2 turns me the same distance so I believe it’s the same. I didn’t check if there is a difference in vertical movement but I would assume it’s the same too.
I noticed something was different. It feels much higher for me though. I just adjusted my sens about a week ago so it is really obvious that something has changed.
My sens wasn’t set to the same I have on live so had to change that, someone also suggested turning on a mouse setting in game that I can’t remember the name of, but I have it turned on in live.
Also the hitboxes on Rein’s hammer feel shorter, I feel like I should be hitting people and I don’t, also the shatter strong hit no longer matches the mark on the floor, in OW1 if you were inside the circle that the hammer leaves on the ground you got hit with the strong hit, now you have to be closer to Rein than even the circle mark, that only does 50 now.
My sense was not where I left it either.
I changed mine recently so that’s likely why. My remix skins aren’t there as well.
the mouse movement feels really bad on OW2 like as if I’m playing through an emulator or something. I use a pretty fast 7.33 / 1000 dpi and my initial movement is super slow and sluggish. Not really sure what to do about it as it’s fine on the live game.
idk what to do I can’t
play anything except 10 and 800 dpi I feel so useless as a DPS in this then ow 1 and i wish they fix this now
I know my settings very well as I play on several accounts with the same settings. I use 4 sensitivity at 800 DPI in Overwatch 1 and in Overwatch 2 i got from conversion 3,99% but something is off. It’s much better after I’ve changed this, my suspicion came true that it has something to do with one or all of this:
- I think it’s -0.1% on conversion not -0.01% (so i got after 3,9% )
- Vertical Sensitivity from 15 (default game, which I never changed) it’s much better at 10 and for compensation Horizontal Sensitivity to 25.
- under the Vertical Sensitivity → Advanced (all i have it on 0 or OFF) but on OW2 i got EXPONENTIAL RAMP (the crosshair flew in all corners after 1-2 sec) , so i change it back to DUAL-ZONE
I know there are no big changes but overall it feels a lot better.
Hey,
Those vertical and horizontal settings are only for controller, you know that right?
Do you play with controller on PC?
If not then changing any of those settings does absolutely nothing for you.
Exactly. Are people just spouting placebo nonsense right now?
I feel absolutely no difference from OW1 to OW2. And I doubt the 1% difference would matter for anyone but the hardcore pros. It’s more than likely some settings or the engine upgrade that have given you more input lag than usual. Try turning down the graphics even more.
Maybe raw input is bugged for some reason. Check so that “enhanced pointer precision” isn’t ticked in your windows mouse settings.
I’m so confused, apparently turning off and back on the precision mouse input in ow 1 fixed my beta sensitivity that was faster, now in the beta it’s off, but i don’t notice a difference if it’s on or off
