Overwatch 2 season 3 battlepass credits not being rewarded?

So I supposedly have earned 400 credits for free from the battlepass but they have not been rewarded to me. It just says I earned them but they aren’t credited to my balance.

Wrong credits, my guy. The ones earned through the battle pass are legacy credits not the current Overwatch 2 coins. If you go into the heroes gallery, click on a character, then go to an area where you are missing items, and click on options, you should see that your “credits” are up by however many you’ve earned so far.

Is this accurate? This is some sneaky a$$ trickery if so…
You use nearly the identical symbol for current currency and I do not see anywhere that it says “Legacy” credits on the battle pass reward…
This just feels like they are tricking people into thinking the battle pass is actually worth something…
This deal just keeps getting worse all the time!

I bought the battelpass for once because it’s actually pretty good now and I’m not earning any of my credits. It wet through one time so I’m on 500+ but I should be on 900+.

Why aren’t more people talking about this?

Legacy credits!?!? Or you kidding me, if players played a lot of overwatch 1 and have all these “legacy skins” this reward in the battle pass is worthless and will not be worth anything at all?

This is indeed some shady crap! I thought it was the current currency that I could use to buy skins and items in the shop that I truly wanted only to find out I wasn’t receiving the credits I thought deserved and had to sure a forum to get answers, that’s ridiculous.

I’m not getting my legacy credits either I want the battle pass but I have cleared 400 credits but I didn’t get anything from the battle pass this is shady

I’m pretty bummed its legacy credits too, but if you look at how many are on offer, and how much the battle pass actually costs, Blizzard would never make any money because you could win enough credits to keep buying the pass indefinitely just by playing.

Also, there are a lot of skins for the new characters that are being sold for legacy credits now, so at least you can get a few of those to make it more worth your while, on top of some pretty decent ones from the BP progression.

Does anyone know if I don’t complete the battle pass or get all the credits will I still get the remaining ones I haven’t gotten once the season ends?

I literally spent hours to get to the level where I receive 100 more tokens just for them to be the wrong ones…I really wanted that Winston Monkey business emote…

So it makes sense because even new characters like sorjourn has things you can use the credits for.

Yeah, this is a pretty despicable misrepresentation in terms of how they’re marketing the battle pass. If this is what they’re doing they need to make the new/event skins cheaper.

I was tricked in the same way, tricked is too soft a word… I was SCAMMED in the same way, there is no way this same color (and almost same shape) credits thing was an oversight, it is definetly done with malicious intent knowing very well they will cash in.
I tried by all means to get a refund and support has refused. We cannot let them get away with this kind of practices, we should start a pettition.
Anyone here has a big Youtube or Twitch channel to start it and gain traction from the get go?

Many companies give enough credits to loop, they still make money of the people who didn’t manage and the people who uses the credits to buy shop items… hell, even blizzard/activision uses this model in other games like Call of Duty…

It’s more than ridiculous, this was surely done with malicious intentions in order to cash in.

They surely knew what they were doing when making the currency icons, i almost bought the pass for them too, until i realized the disgusting thing they made

This has been the case for each new season so far, and each season people have been pushing back on their malicious pricing model–this is simply them creating the illusion of “doing better” while stretching out this process to squeeze as much money from their player base as possible. Giving out “legacy” credits is so particularly rude because it’s least beneficial to the people who have been playing their game the longest and already have most everything unlocked.

Yes, it´s an absolute joke. Still have 20k credits from ow1, what the hell shall I do with this additional points? They just don´t care anymore for the old player base.

Absolutely intentional and deceptive AF. And totally not surprised.

Yeah they clearly did it on purpose to trick people since they only named them ‘credits’ and not ‘legacy credits’ in the battle pass. And the fact they made the icon for them gold, just like the store credits icon, but the legacy credits icon is white. It’s blatant false advertisement to bait more people into buying the battle pass since so many people have wanted more ways to earn credits in game. It’s very poorly done but what more can we expect from Blizzard, they only ever think of what benefits them and don’t care about what the players and customers actually want.

Seems like very shady marketing to me, I’ve been behind Overwatch thought it all since season 6 but this is not it the icon is simply straight up false advertising. Might have to bust out some legal teams on this on Blizzard not a good look at all.
