Been having this issue for a bit but I live in Maryland the home of crabs, Frank Zappa, and The Elder Scrolls but the thing is I’m being put in the Indiana servers and if you look at a map you’d see that Indiana is in the Mid West and Maryland is on the East Coast. Is there anyway I can fix this or am I screwed with having some latency forever?

You can block certain servers in the firewall but doing that is with questionable legality.
There is probably a reason for the game to put you there. Distance doesn’t necessarily mean better ping and it may be taking under consideration population too.
I keep getting Spanish speakers in my games. I’m in Virginia. I don’t know what they’re saying. I only speak English and French. I guess it’s the West Coast server? Does it include Mexico? I do see a few from Canada as well. Some know French.

I am also getting these LAS1 hostings when it should be ORD1.
It’s been happening for months for all my peeps on east. Each of us with different, but best-in-class ISP.
We suspect the game is nearly dead, and the improper hosting is in response to lowpop and cost-cutting measures. They’re just going to pool the few people who still bother with this fake/rigged/dead game and bring them to SoCal, LAS1 (used to be LAX1).
Frankly the extra latency makes it nearly-unplayable or at the very least totally unenjoyable and anti-competitive. If they can’t find us 10 people on east, then the ranks may as well be deleted and the ladder reset, because there isn’t enough sustained population for the ranks to carry any meaning.

Every free to play shooter has a pretty hefty amount of players from Mexico in it and yeah that’s prob the west coast server.
Wait, there’s a server in Indiana?! How do I check which server I’m on? I just assumed it’s Chicago or somewhere else.
My guess is the East broke so now they’re putting you in the middle… without fixing the east. Or whatever.
That’s fine with me. I just think I shouldn’t be all the way on a West Coast server while solo queuing. It should just be East Coast. Is there not enough players?
There aren’t. I solo queue and get shafted with west coast far too much for it to be a competitive environment.

Yeah, I’m getting massive lag spikes. I think reconnecting gives me a different server with less lag. Sometimes I just quit playing.
Isn’t there just a sever in Chicago and then in la? I’m either 35ish ping, or 80ish ping. Nothing in between. Depends which of the 2 servers I’m on.
Wait why the hell wouldn’t they have an NY server? The East Coast is massive.
