Hallelujah! OW2 is the only reason I have the blizzard launcher installed :rofl: . But does this mean the Microsoft acquisition is official?

First they loosened matchmaking
Then they added crossplay
Then they loosened matchmaking again
Then they forced a “sequel” relaunch
They went F2P
Then they loosened matchmaking again, again
And now they are going to Steam

All totally necessary things a healthy live service AAA game would do. Yet for some reason the player count keeps falling…

No matter what they do the people here will be mad. Pretty sad to see. I already see people wanting to review bomb the game…

It does not matter. Its a good way to get OW to the most people. Launcher specific was always hurting them on PC.

Not in the least bit surprised. Microsoft came in, saw all those overpriced skin bundles aren’t selling (I see battle pass skins, but a “bundle” skin maybe once every 420 games), so now they’re trying make some money off of Steam playerbase.

the game is doing that bad? so season 6 is their swan song, after this the game will be on life support, expect less and less content, wouldnt this split the playerbase? or will have crossplay? i want to delete battlenet i hate it

Basically. They won in USA.

And that only major country still blocking is UK, which will probably wrap up by 8/29/2023, but 10/18/2023 at the latest.

Aye desperation is what came to my mind as well, seems like the game is dying big time. This is one of their last resorts trying to save it and bobby kotics cashshop :joy:

I think that’s about to change, a lot.

Microsoft is getting ready for a “Go Aggressive With GamePass” strategy, but they want that Microsoft/Blizzard merger to go through first.

How does a free to play game help push game pass subs? CoD and Diablo will help game pass. Candy Crush is a mobile goldmine. Overwatch is the red headed stepchild only used to sell thirst trap waifu skins.

I don’t agree totally. Microsoft has some good games, but I agree that other games were extremely bad and i hope they improve more.

Blizzard had that since the beginning. They just don’t make that info public. Player activity on Steam will at least be visible to us for once.
