Should player who doesn’t have a Subscription of switch online or ps plus or Xbox gold access the campaign without the subscription but they can play it solo or cpu squads, or split screen for PC PS4 PS5 Xbox one or Series X, but the switch hardware can’t split screen on overwatch 2

Some games have online features without need any kind of subscription. But I think on PS, Xbox and nintendo online are required for play Overwatch.
I think they will keep always on feature, because avoid a lot of issues and can help to diagnose and generate a proper experience for their players.
Split screen on overwatch, sounds interesting but I don’t think that their client can handle that and the game experience would be good enough. Seens more like conceptual design issue and how that will reflect on the playing.
Their pve content could be offline, but will be very unlikely. Overwatch can be played solo if you want a custom game, but always need conection, It’s how the game works. I think every single blizz game except d3 on switch(online features needs to have nintendo online) needs a internet connection. So it’s really unlikely, maybe nintendo switch could be a exception. But again very unlikely

I think it’s online only because everything you play is server side; you need to connect to the server to access everything.
I also remember Nintendo making a game for the 3ds called Metroid prime federation force where you have a option to play solo in the game without going online to do squads
