Overwatch 2, more like Paladins 2 -OOP

So from what I watched of the gameplay. Did it feel like you were watching a paladins game?
Cause that’s how it felt watching to me. I mean hopefully will be able to get a proper feel if I get access to beta but the team fights felt like they were going quicker which happens in paladins.

Personally though it would of been nice if the supports received some changes cause tanks and mainly dps got cool stuff, and supports were left in the dark

Gotta say though Orisa abilities looks cool, and the Doom changes are nice.

I mean, Paladins will always have that crusty, janky look going for it, so I don’t think Overwatch will ever resemble it too much

I agree, I was very skeptical about them but it looks like they did a solid job. Except orisa ult seems like she’d die before getting to utilize it properly. 4 seconds standing in place is a long time. Also her gun looks like a budget raums. Lol

I messaged a friend and called it paladins watch.

Why does Paladins look that way after years. Is there no way to update the graphics or is it baked in.

I’m sure it looks cheap because it’s supposed to be cheap

Easier to make a cheap looking game and is why it costs less to buy

Paladins is still going to be the more balanced game.

Cos they’re preparing for Paladins 2 to finally release on PS2 and PSP

COD mobile has better graphics than Paladins

yes, gamers underestimate how expensive creating a modern game is. A 3D character model with just a T-Pose with the detail it has in Paladins costs over $1000 in hours paid to the artist. This isn’t even including the cost of labor for creating animations, more skins, sounds for the model which spans months of work. Some areas of the map in Paladins look quite good but others you can tell they are rushed.

This is the first beta. Wait for the next. Otherwise you could also say “They will only release 1 DPS for OW2? How unfair!”

Considering the leak of a K/D/A being added it almost feels it’s going that direction as well.

I call Bull as someone who sells models on fiver.

You can get great quality engine ready assets way under a 1g.

Also that’s not how artist at big studios work.

Bro… big studio’s don’t buy asset packs on fiver… that’s indie companies/hobbyists.

AAA studios have artists sketch characters and maps from complete scratch, and have 3D designers/animators/voice actors do the rest. So yes you are looking at far over $1000 on a high quality model either through paying several employees or outsourcing.

Project Type Hourly Per Project
Product Design 3D Modeling $40-$60
Mechanical Design 3D Modeling $50+
[Architectural Design 3D Modeling $40-$50 $400 per room and up
3D Rendering $90-$200 $300-$500+ for small projects.
Up to $2,500 and more for large projects

Do you think Blizzard found Soujorn on fiver or what? they obviously spent thousands of hours and multiple teams designing her.

paladins is built on unreal engine 3 which is from like 2008

it could be updated but its not worth their time tbh, its not that popular

And everyone forgot the fall off on orisa’s weapon…

So you think artist on salary are making 1g per model they make?:man_facepalming:t6:

So what we talking 300 per concept art and model sheet, then I geuss the same artist do the rigging and animation? Lol

Its not like paladins at all!
In paladins you can have more than 1 tank after all.

More serious, we will see more paladins like style in pve abilities i believe, since hard to come up with ideas, im sure at least some abilities will be similiar.

Basically.

Paladins 2 will probably look alot better on the new unreal which is insane honestly.

is there going to be a paladins 2? i have not heard anything about that and hi rez seems to have moved to rogue company

i know paladins still gets new heroes though

I figured ow was doing a sequel so of course they would to compete but you might be right.
