What does everyone think? Just refunded my D2 preorder so now I have $40 account balance again.
35 or 40$ for old players, 60$ for new ones.
For the preorder bonuses, skins without doubt and maybe some skills already unlocked for some heroes.
Itās at least partially an Activision title, so Iād figure on some preorder incentives. (OW1 had skins too.)

But as a comparison, the Overwatch 1 Collectors Edition included:
- Overwatch: Origins Edition (which included all 5 Legendary Skins) with collectorās disc case

Controversial but to avoid the current OW1 situation re-occuring I hope they do:
- PVP = F2P, simply download.
- PVE = $30-$40 (or unlockable within the āfreeā OW2 client)
- Battle Pass and remove loot boxes
PVPāers can play for free.
PVE fans pay for the specialised content (and hopefully continued support/updates)
Battle pass supports the game long-term (unlike loot boxes no-one buys)
Imma scared but curious at the same timeā¦ I guess itās full of posters, action figures, and gadgets?

One of the first things they talked about was how all the new heroes/maps etc are gonna be free for everyone in a shared multiplayer environment
So with OW2 youāre essentially just paying for pve and generation 2 skin redesigns

That hasnāt been confirmed. All we know right now is that OWL is getting an āearly buildā of OW2ās pvp. And that was a direct response to people whining about plats and golds showcasing the pvp from the online con.
To clarify, did they say:
- free for everyone
or - free for OW1 owners
The words theyāve used suggest that the game is going to be released not too late after the OWL reveal, which is why I think itās going to be released in late Q3 2022, Q4 at maximum.
Heard of a game called No Manās Sky?
They are literally doing the No Manās Sky pr crap and people are gobbling it up like candy.

To my knowledge thereās only gonna be a single launcher. So if you own overwatch, youāll get new heroes and maps for free.
If you decide to play pve stuff or want the redesigned base skins, pay for the āupgradeā named OW2

They stated that the PvP Stuff from OW2 will be available for the OW1 Players as they will be in the same Player Pool playing against each other. This includes Heroes Maps and gamemodes. Your progress from OW1 will carry over to OW2. So you will keep your cosmetics.
