I know the topic’s basically already a dead horse with nothing left to say, but if nothing else, at least it’s not at the same as Artifact. Someone put up a website, like, a week after Artifact was released called isartifactdead.com. All it does is keep track of the active player count.
Kinda surprising, though, the player count has actually been in the three digits at some points this year. Back when it was new, 17 was a high number.

I mean, I can’t be the only one sitting here thinking this “overwhelmingly negative” rating comes mostly from disgruntled players airing their grievances, and not so much at all from the over all quality of the game.
Players are out here acting like this game is on the same level as that notoriously bad “Big Rig” truckers PC game lol

Ironically, I almost think there’s a positive spin to that.
Having this many people who care enough to drop even a negative review is more than many other games have.
If just ~30% of those people are just airing grievances while still playing the game, OW has numbers to last it a while.
And if anyone is wondering why someone would leave a negative review on a game they actively play, look around this forum.

Gollum released as a garbage game,so it’s a different case than having a GOTY winner and killing it willingly.
There’s a lot of meme reviews but there’s also a lot of personal experiences and well written ones aswell,I haven’t decided if I’ll leave a negative review yet but I want it to be constructive.It’s far from the worst game but it’s definitely the most mismanaged one.

I agree. Make the game better and charge a reasonable price for cosmetics.
Overall potential of the game you mean. It’s always had great potential, it’s just been heavily mismanaged for years now. That is a great reason to give a live service game a poor review, imo. The huge potential makes the producers’ failures that much more glaring.
Yep. When a game is truly bad, people will voice their negativity initially, and then move on. People haven’t moved on from Overwatch. It’s a game that still clearly gets attention from people.
Overwatch 2 isn’t a bad game. It’s a good game that’s severely mismanaged. A bad game like Redfall is a cheap 1 dollar steak. Overwatch is a premium tomahawk steak that was dropped on the ground in the middle of Skid Row. The latter is far more heartbreaking.
Something being good but ruined is far more upsetting than something simply being bad at its core. It’s easy to move on from a 1 dollar steak, but it’s not easy to move on from a. premium high quality steak that you dropped in the dirt.
