Overwatch 2 is no-longer F2P

The Sequel, the entire point of the 2, is the PvE.

The PvP is Free, but that’s not the Sequel, that’s just some Overdue Updates.

The PvE is exclusively Paid Content.

Overwatch 2 is still marketed as being F2P.

That’s False Advertising.

The PvE was always meant to be a paid feature.

Yes, I know, but that hasn’t stopped Blizzard from Marketing it as such.

Sure, we know the Prices now, but that’s only because people have been through all of the News Outlets and the Patch Notes and whatever.

It’s still free to me because I ain’t giving them my money.

That’s a you problem.

I’ve played Junkenstein to death. Same with Archives.

I don’t care why they are going to fight more omnics, the who or the what behind the generic plot of this watered down tale.

People that want potato story and content can go ahead and pay those potato prices

Wish I could play Overwatch. Never paid attention to it.

You chose not to pay for Cosmetics. You don’t get that choice when it comes to the PvE, you HAVE to Pay, or you don’t get anything.

Why would I want some watered down content story?

It’s not going to be a must play quality can’t miss polished Blizzard product.

I’ve shot enough bots in this game for 7 years followed by a cinematic and winning a ton of sprays I never use.

I have zero interest in it when I would just buy a full game on sale for that price.

What they have shown doesn’t have me counting down minutes til next season goes live.

I can go on Twitch or YouTube to watch streamers pay for it and do all the bot-killing-to-unlock-a-Cinematic for me.

the PvE was never going to be free, and you can still play the PvP without spending anything which is what the F2P line refers to

Whether or not you WANT to Buy the Product is not Important, because it is still being Advertised as Free, when it really isn’t.

you’re confusing “free” with “free to play”

Was it? Where was this stated?

You sounds like an entitled customer who cried about a greedy company. A perfect pair for each other.

Breaking news, Blizzard lies… Often.

Actually this is Broken News.

Everyone has figured out this company has taken EA’s spot for scummy business practices.

Few take them at their word and understand that this is neither ol school Blizzard or the Jeff Kaplan Overwatch.

You want to play PvE, then give them money.

I ain’t giving them a dime. I didn’t buy lootboxes. So I am definitely not paying $15 for 3 chapters of a story when I can get a full game story mode for that price.

No the PvP of OW2 is marketed as F2P. Its basically what Halo Infinite did (except OW makes more new content in a season then Halo Infinite did in a year) where the PvE is paid and the PvP costs money. They were not hiding this and it was a surprise to no one who paid attention. You are not getting a full campaign for free. That is not how game development works.

Overwatch must receive a name change to Lies of B (where B = Blizzard)

The problem with PVE:

  • We must pay for access it
  • BNet will download PVE content consuming space in your PC and will not have an option to don’t download PVE content.

I must say, if they need PVE to be non free content, so split it from PVP into a separated game (like the original idea was).

they never said it out loud but they implied it.
still, people expected to pay for an actual pve campaign, not archives mission bundles

they never said pve is free
from the beginning they said pvp is free pve is paid
other is your imagination

the only false adv is no talent tree thing

Literally in the announcement they said Overwatch 1 will fuse it’s PVP with Overwatch 2 and Overwatch 2 will be a paid campaign mode. Now since then the vision has changed but never was PVE stated to be free with that.

The PvE was never going to be free. They said that long ago, but the PvP is still free
