It’s just the same game with new skins, voice lines, maps, u.i, and a new hero and other minor updates. But instead of 6v6, its 5v5.
This recycled content does not deserve to be called “Overwatch 2”
Not suprised that they have to pay streamers and do twitch support a streamer nonsense to get people to watch this game.
Oh and beta is pretty boring. It just feels like regular OW.

But it’s re-monetized, for The Corporation. That’s new! 
Probably played 30 + matches of the OW2 beta now. It feels like the same game but shallower and less ‘magic’ or satisfying, feels like a stupid deathmatch and your team mates might as well not be there. It’s still a good game but OW1 is better.
Its early access. The “real” OW2 will be the PvE content released next year.
For sure. They will finally cater to the PvE players instead of OWL marketing. Bank on it. 
I havnt played cod since ghost, yet evertime i see a friend playing the new one its the same game i played over a decade ago lol. I mean with the exception of slot machine sound effects popping every two seconds for challenges like aim down sights ;).
This is already ow2 and its only in beta. Also been playing warframe f2p for a decade and the game is unrecognizable from launch. Cant wait to see what ow2 grows into!
If anything ow2 beta is just a paid experimental mode.

Its more of a PvP 2.0. The real OW2 is PvE but PvP is much more important to bring out, so they do that. All what we see was developed in the last 9 months btw.
How many time do people have to explain this because it seems like that 90% of the complainer never read anything or get information beforehand.
OW2 PvP is the same as in OW1 but with better sounds, new engine, new heroes, new modes, 5v5 and so on.
it’s essentially a rebrand and a new monetization scheme, the extra heroes and maps are bonus stuff to trick gullible people into thinking it’s a sequel and the pve is still nowhere near in sight

is this the new cope? they were advertised at the same time as both would constitute “overwatch 2” together.
And by the way they are talking the pve is gonna be release piece by piece like an archive event.

If the AI bots are as poorly programmed as they are in OW1, I don’t hold out much hope for an amazing PvE experience here. And they let those OW1 bots languish for the entire time OW1 was out, even though a lot of people only played the AI mode. They even moved that mode into the “training” category at one point. It was pretty insulting to the PvE community–and yes, there is one! 
In OW2, there will be scripted events. There will be cut-scenes. But will it be better/more fun gameplay than any other given PvE shooter? I can’t wait to find out.
well ow2 added more potential bots for the “training” mode and the engine upgrades are all for the sake of better pve.
But that doesn’t really say much, how are they gonna make pve something people will play over and over?
They just sold how many preordered cosmetics with the battlepass? They don’t even have to deliver. Most of the people who paid for Watchpoint probably won’t even be playing the game in two weeks, much less 6+ months from now.
The new AI bots are much better in the beta. And they have the entire cast now (I think). Still, I have very little hope that the PvE will be any more engaging than Junkenstein’s Revenge.
5v5 instead of 6v6 makes it a radically different game.
Yes but this is also known for moths now. We know it was mismanaged, badly announced, had drastic changes during development and just a PR stunt. So what? What happend happend. And to ask the questions again and again will not solve or fix anything at this point.
Complaining is just useful if they could change things. At this state you can cry about the beta, the pack, the brig skin but to go at the beginning again and cry about that? Is not useful at all.
considering there are people on this very forum still arguing it’s a full sequel and that the new monetization scheme is fair (some people even defended locking heroes behind battlepass), i suppose it’s not a “well known thing”.
And what do you want me to do? Give blizzard a pat on the back?
I waited three years and i got my main deleted (orisa), three new heroes and a lukewarm balance patch all things considered.
I don’t care what happened behind the scenes, this is a forced upgrade i don’t enjoy that deletes a game i paid and care for, it’s well within my right to “cry about it”
Get on with it and adapt or leave. There are things set in stone and they will not change. The Orisa rework for example. As someone who loves the robo cow I liked the old one but I am also a friend of the new one. Same goes for 6v6 vs 5v5.
You dont have to say “Blizz has done everything right!” but the same extreme goes for “Blizz made everything worse!”.
They worked for 9 months and what we got is pretty good for 9 months of work. We get 3 heroes at lauch and another one 9 weeks later. After that every 18 weeks a hero and maps/game modes in between. 2CP was replaced by push (thank god) and we might even get another new mode that is the most complex one yet with the biggest maps (blizz words).
You can cry about it or enjoy that OW gets finally content again.
I for one am happy that my favorite game is ready for some big changes and goes into a new direction.
