Overwatch 2 has encountered an unexpected error

For some reason my overwatch has been crashing mid game and always no matter what shows a popup saying: The application has encountered an error. From Blizzard Error.
Now this only happened AFTER I upgraded my CPU, but even with the old CPU back in, I still have this problem. This could also be a perfect timing moment that the crash was always gonna happen, even after the new CPU change. And its always random so im not too sure why this is happening to me.
Here’s all the info from DxDiag, MsInfo, and the Overwatch Error Log:

Apparently a error log has always been made with every crash, so the Overwatch Error logs in there is the most recent one. Any help is appreciated

(New)Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU
(Old) Ryzen 5 7600X CPU
Gigabyte 650 Gaming X AX Motherboard
x2 G.Skill Flare X5 DDR5 Ram (32GB Total)
Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU
Corsair RMx (2021) RM850 PSU

Yes I have a moving wallpaper on 3 monitors, but paused when the wallpaper is not focused

Edit: should also mention at the same time of installing the new CPU I installed SteelSeries GG. Don’t know if thats a potential problem but here it is.

The reports are pointing to that as the only obvious problem. It has come up a bunch of times here on the forum.

I turned off and uninstalled wallpaper engine and am still having this problem. Any Help?

Seems like it was due to an unstable Radeon drivers update that caused this. I deupgraded the drivers to the last one released in August. Works perfectly fine

the one from 8/31? or 8/25? which one did you use

I used the 8/31 one. Apparently there is a “new” adrenaline update that has the notes “fixed lots of crashing, stuttering and black screens” that came out yesterday but don’t see it now. Its the 23.10.1 patch I think. So just go back to that patch and wait for 23.10.1 to come out.

ive went back to 8/31 and 23.10.1 and i still get the crash and popup

I went to 23.9.1 and its worked perfect so far

Im on a 7800 xt and i can only have auto driver update. how did you get to manually choose what driver you load on?

You download the driver from the manufacturer website and manually install it.

read what i wrote. amd 7800xt only allows for auto driver detect down load. go look it up. you cannot manually install drivers
