Overwatch 2 Graphics Settings Comparison

I will be testing some of Overwatch 2 graphics settings.

Hardware:
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB
RAM: 16GB 3000Mhz

How was this done?
I set all the graphics settings to max and changed one option each time and note the FPS.
I was standing in the same spot in the practice range.
Some of these changes might reflect more in game.

AMD FSR:
No difference. Only used for low render scale to make the game look better and get more fps. May add delay, don’t know.

Texture quality:
high: 82fps
low: 85fps

Texture filtering quality:
No difference

Local fog detail:
ultra: 82fps
low: 92fps

Dynamic reflections:
high: 82fps
low: 95fps
off: 98fps

Shadow detail:
ultra: 82fps
high: 91fps
medium: 101fps
low: 102fps

Model detail:
ultra: 82fps
low: 98fps

Effects detail:
ultra: 82fps
low: 89fps

Lighting quality:
ultra: 82fps
low: 89fps

Antialias quality:
High SMAA Medium: 85fps
Medium small low: 85fps
off: 85fps

Refraction quality:
high: 82fps
low: 85fps

Ambiant occlusion:
high: 82fps
off: 85fps

Local reflections:
On: 82fps
Off: 84fps

Damage fx:
No difference. Low is probably better for competitive advantage.

interesting post. i play with all settings on low so i can maximize my fps. i dont have a top tier rig but i can still manage to get the 144 my screen runs at. i think you even have a better comp

Shadows on games I often use low/medium, it seems more realistic. And in fast games like this you will not keep looking at them to see if they are beautiful or not.
High and Ultra are unrealistic and just tax the GPU hugely.

Same for reflections, low/medium.

I could barely see big difference on low ~ ultra effects, so I kept on medium, because ultra effects may hurt the eyes on the long run and after a few matches you may get mentally tired/dizzy. Same with lighting.

Some graphic settings for me are just luxury or for screenshots, doesn’t work well on fast games. It may hurt the eyes.
