Overwatch 2 good to come back to?

Hi so I’ve been an avid overwatch player since the very first beta. I loved to play genji, zarya, mercy and brig.

I played for the longest time until overwatch 2 was released and they said they weren’t following up on story mode. I was pretty devastated since I played throughout the drought where they abandoned overwatch 1 to make 2.

That being said, it’s probably been at least a year? Maybe 2 since I’ve played the game. I was wondering is it worth coming back to?

I still follow the overwatch account on Instagram YouTube and such and see some of the heroes and content they release. However is the core game any better? Is the content that is released worth redownloading the game?

Your going to get a lot of doomers and the like.

But ya jump right back in. Genji is basically unchanged and should be like riding a bike.

Tanks have some knock back resistance so keep that in mind when playing brig, and mercy gets self healing from the targets she is actively healing.

Do your best to attack the smaller heroes firsts, and you should be perfectly good to go to jump right back in.

yeah jump back in, there is a lot of new content.

Then you should know the answer.

There is literally nothing to do in this game and the current season was the most nothing season since season 5.

If you enjoy Zarya, then I think you’ll still enjoy the game. Her bubbles allow her to cleanse away a lot of the issues many tank players bring up.

No. If they cave and bring back 6v6 then yes.

No, unless you play the 6v6 community mod in Custom games. Then its better than you remeber.

They still haven’t, and they made changes not that long ago that buffed the hitboxes on pretty much every shot, projectile, and ability in the game by a ridiculous amount, and heroes like Widow still have not received their necessary nerfs.

So, I say not to come back. Instead, keep letting it be known wherever you can that you still want that PvE before you’re willing to come back.

I wouldve quit, but turns out I like trying to climb in comp too much to ever quit for good. However, I do recommend to everyone I can to avoid OW2 and, if possible, anything Blizzard related, and will do so until we get the PvE they said we would.

after theyve been buffing wrecking ball directly and indirectly for the past like 8+ balance patches or so, id say yes

:hamster:

No the worst patch in history is currently live ingame. Nobody is having fun playing any role.

I just can’t stand having garbage teammates in GM who can’t aim and/or (usually AND) position, like at all. There are so many boosted people in this game to the point where having bad teammates for me is worse than 5v5, the monetization and balance changes all combined.

So if you don’t mind losing games because of single brain celled people then you might enjoy the game because 5v5 and hero balance isn’t that bad.

Their was a multiple heroes, maps, new event modes, and 2 different game modes in between.

Like you all forget we use to get like. maybe two new event modes a year in the old days.

For sure OP! Game is fun and every new season brings a bunch of cosmetics, new hero every other season

Old days had stuff to grind for.
What is there to do in OW2 between hero and map releases? It is either pay or get lost.

Only you can decide that…

tanking will be biggest difference and it’s different today than it was a month ago after last set of patches

Other than that? Same game

all you can do now is play solo if you are a masochist or play with your friends in group and mess with ranked or just chill in qp

It’s practically the same as ever. If you like that, good news. If you don’t, bad news.

That is if you have any left who enjoys the dumpsterfire.

You can grind for premium currency these days.

So event modes are almost always running to some extent, like even in the time frame there isn’t, there is always some form of skin / icons / emotes to be playing towards.

Be it’s getting a little slim at the moment because they have the new core game mode, and hero right around the corner that’s going to be thrown at us at the same time.

Plus whatever cosmetic theme and or event that’s playing next season.

Secondly the amount of maps have increased because we are getting dumps of 2~3 in the core game modes. Plus the on additional one for older mode in between.

While in OW1, we would have major down time with nothing playing.

Like legitimately nothing. It was kind of a big deal when we got the play for 9 games to get a skin bit.

other then that we were left without new boxes or additional game modes to play around. Of course DM and the arcade elmination maps and stuff were cool.

but their not on level what we are getting today.

Heck we were getting major map edits for something like the moria space event, which was something we only saw in like Junkestien or for the Archive missions.

Grinding for months just for a single skin or getting a mid BP.

And are mostly trash or the same old stuff from OW1

Literally nobody cares about these let alone having to grind for.
The free skins are Epics at best or just skins that nobody would buy otherwise.
