Balance is terrible, server infrastructure is terrible, community is toxic, lies from the dev team, patronizing corporate speak updates that insult the playerbase’s intelligence, trash matchmaking, and horrible monetization practices.
It’s a bad game. I don’t know why anyone plays it. I don’t know why I play it.
The only reason why anyone plays it is because its still the only game of its kind. But the remaining devs are doing their best trying to make it more and more unbearable with each update. Maybe they should try playing their own game before working on it.
Balance is pretty good imo, haven’t had any server issues at all this season, matchmaking in QP hasn’t been too bad this season either, don’t know or care about ranked, don’t really care what the devs say, don’t really care about the monetization, I only care about my main and so far haven’t had to spend any real money on her, everything I got for her I got from free MS points.
The game is fun. I enjoy it still. Even more now that I have Illari as an option instead of just Ana and Kiriko.
Sorry that your experience with it sucks, but, idk, maybe move on if you’re miserable.

Yea, very subjective opinions. Very few actually give their metrics for balance. I can look to top end play and see a variety of heroes being played. Its not simply 2 tanks at the top of the roster all season. Its like a huge variety of them being played. Similar with DPS and supports often.
In middle ranks I can see people out play me and I can out counter them. Though I run into players that out skill me on things. There are many options available to people. If you don’t one trick too much the experience is generally pretty good.
There is quite a bit of stability in the game. The large downside is that OW1 → OW2 wasn’t much of a change given how PvE is more of a side grade than a huge new feeling feature that is a perm staple of the game that makes it feel like a whole new game.
It does suck that monetization is the least player friendly its ever been, but at lease there are ways to grind out heroes to avoid P2W.
Wow, a support main enjoys being carried by extremely OP heroes…
They really need to blanket nerf most supports tbh

I mean, I play OQ so I spend most of the time having to play tank and dps since everyone instalocks supports there. Still don’t have a problem with hero balance. Or playing against those “OP” supports. 
Well yeah … you’re in open queue. Go play 10 matches of role queue and come back and tell us how you feel.
Or you go play OQ and enjoy the game for once, because it seems like the most miserable people right now are RQ players and ranked players.
Perhaps if you weren’t bound by so many limitations/restrictions, you’d actually have some fun.

What the heck. OQ has changed a lot since the old days! I always thought it was hilarious when you could convince people to go all support and watch the chaos.
I played Open Queue. It was actually fun before the tank health nerfs. But you came in stating matchmaking seems pretty good to you, then proceeded to mention you only play open queue (and I’d wager not at a very high level).
So yes, you would possibly think things are in a decent spot. My dog used to also enjoy licking his own taint. Would you recommend that as well? At least you’re enjoying yourself I guess.
this part is kinda true, if you don’t get on your closest servers the game feels so laggy. Matchmaking, balance could be better.
The games fun though, just balance supports/ tanks, nerf soldier, bastion. Give some new dps heroes. Pump more maps

I think about 8% of them are reviews for lulz vs truth. but for the most part I’ve been with steam almost the whole time that they have been out, and when there are that many bad reviews of a game. its speaking something about the game.
Im kinda surprised that Blizzard, activision and Valve have not worked out a deal to wipe out those reviews. Games like Dead by daylight are some of the worst games on earth and received massive poor reviews and suddenly they went away. just like they did in Back 4 blood. Another game that tanked and was a disaster. both of those companies did damage control and bought their own games just to re-seed their bad reviews. So i am waiting to see how soon it will be for Overwatch. Then again, I think this one isn’t going to be a problem that will go away.

If People enjoy Overwatch 2, hey that is 100% okay! But… Overwatch 1 is the game I enjoyed and would like back. 2, is just not fun. Its lower quality in many aspects and it is not an inspirational game to play.
I do enjoy SOME positive aspects to Overwatch 1 such as the game’s engine isn’t bad, but in terms of visuals, its worse. its bad clutter and the audio is flatout awful.

It does indeed but it is nothing new. Even before steam, it had terrible user score on metacritic but hey, it is “review bombing” right?

No. It’s managed badly. One of the best games of all time managed into the ground by Jeff, who wouldn’t adapt to the future, and Aaron who can’t respect the past.
The strong majority of people have a negative view on OW2. Anyway I find it funny you say balance is good, but have Ana, Kiriko and Illari in your hero pool, all of which need nerfs because they are too strong.
Ana anti is broken still and makes tanking incredibly unfun.
Kiriko suzu combined with swift step and its low cooldown is also terrible to play against. 1v1 any DPS and when they get crit she will teleport through 5 walls and drop suzu and the immortality will save them.
Illari is just crazy strong. You can be 3rd DPS and still get healing as good as your other support with the pylon. She’s a bloated Support but would’ve been a perfect DPS if they removed the pylon and healing beam on her.
