With the pandemic, and no update on Overwatch 2 for months, has Blizzard decided to cancel OW 2 until further notice? They have done it before with Titan and SC2 Ghost FPS game.

Overwatch 2 is still in development, while there have been no major news articles, there have been occasional developer posts confirming new features coming to Overwatch 2.

Blizzard never did! But the community took that and ran with it just like they are with news about OW2

Blizzard never publicly said she would be a support during development.
See my link above, Jeff Kaplan did say so in an interview.
This was before Echo was announced as the next hero.
Do you have an article of them talking about her in-game design before she was announced as the 32nd hero? I’ll stand corrected if so

Hmm…interview article published on March 25, Echo public beta reveal date on March 19…
they’re talking about the time between her first reveal in the reunion short and before it was revealed she was a dps, there was no official information saying she would be a support, any mention about its existence at some point all came after this reveal
