**WAIT!** I know what you're thinking. "Please refer to these many fix-er-up-er methods."
Trust me, I've tried everything. Overwatch 1 stopped working back in 2020 and has been doing this same exact bug ever since. I CANNOT, no matter what I do, LAUNCH the game. It starts, gives me a black screen for 1 second, then crashes and sends me back to desktop almost immediately.
I’ve tried everything. High performance mode, turning game mode off and on, turning the Xbox tab off, cleared some space on my hard drives, moved OW2 to C drive instead of D drive, cleared caches left, right, to, and froe, updated my drivers, took out Razer programs that are years old. I’ve tried running as administrator, I’ve attempted to change the settings back to normal via Battle.net. I can’t do anything, the game REFUSES to launch.
Please. I need something, anything. Overwatch 1 wouldn’t launch, and now 2 won’t launch DESPITE me exceeding hardware requirements and having the right Operating System. Anyone have any other ideas?
Ive been having the same problem for almost 2 weeks now. Nothing works to fix it and i just wanna play. yet my friends on low end laptops are able to play ;-;
I don’t know if anyone has responded to you yet or if you have managed to fix it but I’ve had the exact same problem. Since towards the end of 2019 i swapped from my xbox to my pc, everything was going fine until it stopped working. It did the exact same thing. It didn’t even open up for more than a second and crashed with a black screen. I was hoping now that overwatch 2 was out it would work but sadly it hasn’t. I swear I have tried almost everything I can think of and the only information I have gathered is that my GPU 3D spikes and so does my graphics_1 to 100%. I have toyed with the 3D settings but nothing has seemed to work. I’ve created a ticket and am waiting a response but if you or anyone find anything out, please let me know. Thanks
