Overwatch 2 biggest problem

The biggest issue with playing Overwatch is tanks that do not tank and support that do not heal. There should be no reason why a support should have any incentive to do nothing but damage and be out of position the whole game without healing unless it is themselves. This is a huge problem games are plagued with bapt and moria players that do not even heal and just play the hero as a damage class. If they do not do the actual job as a support what is the point of even having a support role if this is the case just make them all damage. Healing a team member as a support should give you twice as much ultimate charge then damaging as a support. As for tanks there is no reward for damage blocked. some sort of reward for actually playing your role correctly and not just as a damage class is needed. If you get both on your team a support playing as a damage and a tank that just runs off and doesnt do anything but face roll on the keyboard trying to do nothing but attack. It will ruin the game and is. Ive played your games for over 25 years now since diablo 1. This is a huge mistake and needs to be delt with. It is stupid that people even have the ability to get the most damage out both teams as a support and then get rewarded in your bad matchmaking system which is enabling this issue. Please give a incentive to play your role correctly with more ultimate charge, maybe make bapts gun only a 2 burst maybe make it so he can not heal and shoot at same time something has to be done. Support have had it the worst since the game came out with low matchmaking in the first season and it did not get much better since. O wait unless you damage and not heal as a healer cause that sounds right… Fix your game

Tanks tank, supports support, DPS hide, crab mentality amongst all.

It’s overwatch.

And dps who doesn’t dps.

after about a month, I think it’s safe to say that your tank makes/breaks your chances of winning. I sort of see the game like this:

-Tanks are the centerpiece of the team
-Supports need to healbot the tanks, poke at the other team when tank is topped up
-DPS are either protecting the backline from flank, or diving/flanking the other team

What you end up with are tanks trying to dive on the backline alone, supports trying to DPS and forgetting to heal during teamfights, and DPS who focus on the unkillable tanks because they’re bigger and easier to hit

Why would anyone want to play the healrole in this game. I certainly won’t and I was a healer main. I did quit the game… Playing Monkey island now. Great game that is btw

Depends on rank I would say dps get better the more skillful the players get and even more so for supports at high rank.

While tanks have a higher margin of throwing or getting easy value in lower ranks.

it could be they just have bad aim i can accept that but a healer that doesnt heal and a tank that is lost is just toxic and clearly can aim is a issue

Sounds like you have a fundamental misunderstanding about how Overwatch works, and how it’s ALWAYS worked ever since its inception.

yeah probably should have specified, this is what low elo hell looks like, I can’t speak to anything much more than that.

but I find it distressing that, in my head I can visualize what is wrong with my team, but I’m not good enough to overcome the issues of our tank feeding, our a mercy going in alone against a roadhog/reaper who are sitting on the cart, people trickling into the fight repeatedly etc

it seems like super obvious stuff, but the people around me often seem to miss it.

so your telling me every role should be treated like a damage role? i can see you are a damage player i have played mostly tank and support for majority of the game cause noone else wanted to and was a team player. I actually do play the role of the heros every hero has a certain role even if you are a damage you have roles and its not just shoot, blizzard really messed up by misclassifying damage from defense and offense heros early on at least then something told them hey this is a defensive hero and this is a offensive hero.

LMAO try 400+ hours playing Reinhardt, with upwards of 1000 hours on tank alone. If you want roles of tank to just tank and supports to just support then go play WoW or something. Overwatch is a fundamentally different game from that.

Do you want every single support to be changed to a “healer” and just have 2 mercy’s on your team? Or the only tank be Reinhardt without a hammer?

Supports are called support because they are supportive. They aren’t called healers for a reason. Lucio can speed his teammates, Brig can protect her backline, Baptiste can use his immortality field, Zen has discord orb, etc. These are all things that they can do to SUPPORT their team. Keeping them alive rather than just pumping massive heals into everyone.

Tanks aren’t there to be big and soak up damage. They’re the corner stone of your team. They force the enemy team away and create space for their team to do their job easier. They protect your team with things like shields, bubbles, defense matrix, etc.

Newsflash bozo, you DO get significantly more ult charge healing than you do damage as a support.

actually i just want the game to played as a team like it was made to be and not a bunch of solo people running around
