That is my map tier list on overwatch 2 beta ( i loved circuit royal s2)
Fun- circuit royal ( best map in the game), ilios, oasis lijiang tower, mid town, kings row
Good- colosseo, new queen street, Dorado, route 66, eichenwalde, gibraltar
Ok- none
Ranking only the new maps
Best: Rio
Mid tier: New York, Circuit royal, New Queens Street
Worst: Colosseo
Rio is honestly one of the best maps in the game. Each point has high ground and multiple paths and cover to take. The map is also probably the prettiest map in the whole game due to all the bright colors.
I only got to play on Circuit Royal twice (one was a steamroll in beta 1) so I can’t really form a solid opinion on it.
Fun - New Queens Street, Midtown, Dorado, King’s row
Good: Ilios, LeeJaeGon Tower, Rout 66
Worst: Busan [I am allergic to this map, especially that in Overwatch 1 I play on it basically every other match -.-] Colosseo
Good for atack side - Tragic for defense side:
Eichenwalde - Watching OWL and playing a large number of matches, you can see one pattern. You give first checkpoint almost for free to defend yourself on the walls. Each game looks like a copy of the previous one.
Top - Circuit Royal, Midtown, Paraiso
High - King’s Row, Route 66, Watchpoint: Gibraltar, Dorado
Mid - Colosseo, Eichenwalde, Lijiang Tower, Busan, Oasis, Nepal
Low - New Queen Street, Ilios
Essentially, OW2 payload/hybrid > OW1 payload/hybrid > control and push
