this isn’t OW2. this is the behaviour for crossplay ever since it launched. even on the live game right now, if a console player gets into the shared pool with a pc player, aim assist gets turned off to avoid an unfair advantage.
Aim assist on console would mean that PC users are put in the pool with console users using M&K AND having aim assist. PC users can’t opt out of crossplay. If you want aim assist, queue into console only.
There’s no way we can do that on this beta. At least on Xbox. You can bet every single controller player prefers not playing at all with mouse keyboard players.
Are you suggesting that a controller player with aim assist will outperform a kbm player of the same skill?
That’s actually a thing though.
Now they just need to make it possible for MnK console users to play in PC-Only lobbies when they aren’t grouped.

the point is that they would be able to plug in mouse and keyboard and STILL have aim assist and THAT is a massively unfair advantage
Controller + Aim assist > KMB
Played pc shooters my entire life, and played 1 game of halo reach with a controller as a joke and unironically got a skill boost. It turns a dot into a large circle when aimming.
Only downside is controllers are an archaic device that puts all your pressure into your thumbs.
Halo has notoriously insanely strong aim assist though. Not all aim assist is equal
So now console players not only have to deal with ximmers, now they have to deal with pc players too. I guess that’s what “fair” means for you.
Played on both systems all my life. Nope, you are completely wrong.
You can’t compare the aim assist from another game.
That’s like saying they should nerf Cassidy because the halo CE magnum in OP. The two games aren’t related at all.
I’m a masters console player and my average accuracy went up some 10-15% on pc on this game
Not to mention the insane difference in mobility. MKB players will always have advantage.
I’d suggest a player who has aim assist and plugs an M&K in will out perform a player who doesn’t have aim assist with a M&K.
Fortnite figured out a way to detect XIM.
So that’s not off the table.
Proper mkb support is also a solution. Since at least most of the people would choose it over XIM since the adapter isn’t nearly as good as a real mkb
It’s like that in OW1 too. An aimbot is a massively unfair advantage, even if it’s to compensate for the disadvantage of using a controller.
It’s not an aimbot and it muddies the issue by calling it one.
It’s funny how the only people who complain and comment are PC players when a lot of controller players are struggling to play On controller on pc That is unfair My whole hand gets completely strained trying to aim as a widow Why does no one actually care Just create a better version of a assist Using one thumb To control a movement is very taxing on one finger PC players are using a whole freaking hand what is wrong with everyone.
Aim Assist for PC Controller players?? This is literally the only game that does this its very unfair I have to strain my entire thumb in order to play widow or hanzo We have a joystick drift We have a bad deadzone Sensitivity.PC players have their entire hand I don’t care if it’s not in competitive put it in everything else why is this a point of contention. It is in every other game why should I get used to it not being an overwatch and create a problem for my hand. I don’t hear any PC players complaining in the warzone No PC players are complaining in fortnite the only people who complain are low skill PC players in overwatch That is what is unfair! That is the problem
Torb, symm
How does Torb and Sym have aim assist? The beam doesn’t lock on anymore and rivets don’t magically hit a player.
Just realized this thread was necro’d.
when a lot of controller players are struggling to play On controller on pc That is unfair
You want an aimbot on a controller for PC, just say that.
Its the same in Overwatch
You’re clearly very uninformed
