Overly aggressive supports now

Just curious: Was that the point of the last patch? To make support far more aggressive? Im finding less healing and just support dpsing: attack Illaris, Zen, Lucios, and Morias. Was this the point of giving dps the passive healing deal?

If healbotting is worse than ever, then logically support are going to have to DPS more to win games. That’s why the forums have 50 threads right now about Mercy being bad.

The whole point of the patch was to reduce healing and increase the value of damage.
Dead enemies can’t shoot you back

I main support.

I’d love it if I could just focus on healing and let my DPS worry about doing damage and getting kills. But if they’re not doing that, then I have to.

Zen should always be damaging, he does it while throwing orbs and even though I dont play her what would you suggest Ilari do when the turrets down, just stand there?

“Stop healbotting and do damage!” they cry as Supports try to keep them up despite their bad gameplay.

“WHERE ARE MY HEALS!” they cry as the onslaught of avoidable damage they are taking is now not being papered over.

This is what DPS players wanted.

For support to healbot less and to DPS and support more.

Now the community must live with the consequences. We’re cod now.

Seen a bap with 6400 damage and 1300 healing

Maybe because my qp games are full of gold and higher teammates, I find the current amount of healing from my teammates fine as a tank. I know how to use cover while keeping LoS of my supports.

Even as a support, I’ve always prefer to go as offensive as possible and keep healing to the minimum to keep my teammates alive.

If anything, I keep forgetting that dps have hp regen if I stay out of combat long enough, when I don’t have LoS with my support covering our flank.

What constitutes a support character is entirely up to the devs. The devs want to reduce healing. The community starts using killy supports. Logic train, choo choo.

What does a healing zen look like exactly compared to dps zen

Healing Zen would go Mercy to heal for 90 percent of the match, then switch to Zen.

That is just bad players

People are always going to do what the game balance encourages you to do in order to win.

Right now the game wants you to end fights quickly and decisively. How do you do that?

  1. Dive or Rush comps
  2. High Damage and focus fire.
  3. Don’t try to out sustain as it’s pointless. Use natural cover, flank routes, and health packs.

So that’s why it’s like this and also why tanks are hating life right now.

No point healing dps when they suck

The point was to appease DPS that hate healing, and false supports who hate healing their team.

Lots of people still actually heal on these toons, you will get those who don’t though. Like every Moria that ive been teamed with or is on the other team, refuse to heal, and become a one trick DPS Pony and spam right click on everything.

i would never call a support that has more dmg than the dps bad??? i would call a support with only healing bad especially if he just watches us lose because the enemy has 4 dps and we just 2.

Then you completely fail to see the point of playing support.

it is like having a hog who does nothing but flank 24/7

Ana and Lifeweaver are bad , Mercy especially in metal ranks is probably the best healer in the game after recent changes.

That was the point of the patch yes. Land your shots and use cover- play in their LOS. If you do that and they don’t heal you? It’s either cause they’re focusing on their own tank or another guy (GOOD THING) or … they’re missing shots not using cover and poorly positioned (BAD).

As a dps/supp main myself. I never ever expect heals, even in GM. I play as if I will never get healed. It really helps. (I still play in LOS and I peel a ton).
