There are some abilities that were ok 2 years ago but now they are useless garbage.
1- combat roll : fast reload on 8 sec cd. Now during launch this was fine since we had mccreesniper and fan the hell but those are long gone. This ability needs an update. It should go to 5 or 6 secs cd and maybe go a little further.
2- shadow step : i mean do i have to explain why this is garbage ? The cast time should be half of what it is currently and it should be way easier to target edge of highgrounds.
3- torb turret : they gonna rework it soon so i just leave it here
4- Roadhog hook : back when roadhog could 1 shot heroes they nerfed it to 8 secs but as now i think it should go back to 6 or 7 secs. Also so many bugs. Fix them pls.
5- bastion : this character as whole is garbage.
6- mei , reaper and Roadhog ults : these ults are pretty worthless atm. They used to be good 2 years ago but as now using primary fire as these heroes seems more useful than ults.
Oh, wow, someone who mentioned Reaper’s ultimate as utterly useless? That is a surprise. Most people only comment on Shadow Step. I seriously think it WAS because 2 years ago Reaper used to just wipe-teams and maybe the Beyblade meta. But those days have long since been gone.
Mei’s ult is actually pretty good against slow comps and Roadhog’s ult is good against shields. Reaper’s ult is just bad in general, honestly. It can be good if it’s speed boosted and essentially pocketed, but it’s not great alone.
Roadhog Hook could probably be at least 7 seconds now that it doesn’t kill as well.
Combat Roll isn’t that bad, if it’s going to get changes it would probably need a rework as a McCree with a constant amount of bullets would be insane.
Shadow Step is bad, but honestly giving Reaper good mobility would probably be a mistake. His guns are insane at close range, so making his Teleport that much better would probably require a rework.
Bastion is potentially scary with Symmetra, but outside that he could probably use a rework.
Reaper and roadhog ults are too ez to interrupt and have so many drawbacks. People who think they are fine either hate those heroes or play in low elos.
Honestly, that is my only problem with Mei’s ultimate as well. It just seems to get cancelled left and right if you throw it from a risky position which is usually when you might get value from it. If you go the safe route, it rarely matters because you catch no one, or maybe one person that would have been out of position regardless.
That makes no sense. If they did not want ultimates to be insanely powerful, everyone would have Reaper-esque ultimates. But his is literally among the worst. Ergo, it is the exception and not the rule.
Having the cooldown for combat roll to 6 seconds won’t make McCree have constant bullets. It would help him out a bit not by much.
and if the reloading is the issue then make him reload only four bullets at six seconds and the full 6 bullets if you wait the whole eight seconds.
About Reaper, he already has good Mobility with wraith form. Shadow step is a useless buggy mess that should be fixed. it’s suicide if anybody even sees you while you use the ability. It’s a free kill because they can just head shot you without you being able to do anything.
lol that’s just not true. Sure if you try to drop in the middle of a 1v6 but if you don’t get greedy and use it for 1 or 2 guaranteed kills instead of going for the wipe every time, they do their job just fine.
Hogs especially. Its an area denial ult which is does extremely well.
It’s funny because every dps player complains about how bad their heroes ult is
Pharah
Mccree
Doomfist
Reaper
Soldier
Bastion
Widow
Mei
All those heroes have had extensive forum posts complaining about how bad their ults are. And that’s just the dps.
No hero has this mythical “press Q to kill everything” quality that you’re proposing exists. It just seems like the grass is always greener on the other side. Offensive ults as a whole are all pretty lack luster.
If McCree’s combat roll was just an evasion skill, this might be okay. However, the fact that it reloads as well makes reducing the cooldown hard to justify.
Mei’s ult is still pretty good. In fact, it’s one of the best things about Mei, who otherwise has a lackluster/situational kit.
