Orissa - The One Robot Army

She is oppressive. She is punishing even when you are playing good with decent positioning.

Your tank takes a few extra steps towards the enemy team, Orissa uses Javelin spin to enter your space, javelin throw your supp and a few more bullets and the supp is dead. Then, use fortify to back up.

All more oppressive with Juno ring (which needs a nerf in my opinion).

As of right now, I prefer her to Rammatra. The scars from that cheesy interaction with Reinhardt are still fresh. Ask me again in a couple of months and surely I will join in your robophobia.

lol as a Rein main, do you think current Ram is better or the previous one?
As a supp main, I prefer the current coz i am able to help with breaking rein’s shield and then help with killing him.
i hope rein still brings me presents on christmas… sigh… haha

I don’t know if I will ever be okay with Fortify with all it does. It just feels…so weird that one ability just instantly does so much.

Javelin Spin also feels like it has the hitbox of pre-nerf Genji Deflect. I feel like I shoot things that are to her side or sometimes at an off-angle from behind and it still gets eaten. :frowning:

I don’t think I am experiencing the OP Orisa that others are. But I also still just don’t like the interaction. It feels like she excels too much at defense and offense, and I wish it was one or the other.

It is kind of weird because I feel Rammatra actually got better against Reinhardt in most circumstances, but to me, I just couldn’t handle how corny the interaction of punching through the barrier at twice the range of my hammer was. It was an automatic tilt that gave him an unearned X Factor.

Exactly. Probably EVERYONE prefers this Rammatra except for the mice that felt big and strong because they were able to bypass a mechanic and exploit the fact that my team is simply worse! Cope.

i 100 %agree with that! she is good at everything… oh Mauga used his Ult, let me use fortify and get out… burning… fortify… Junk’s trap, fortify. Ana’s sleep, fortify (i mean, dart doesn’t work if she is fortifying)… at least with suzu you are still trapped and invulnerability lasts for like 0.79 seconds i think… and its on a long cooldown.

I agree with this… lol although i saw a lot of videos on youtube with titled “Ram is dead”…

I SAID ram would be buffed by this change. Or course it was the brain dead cringey ones who like yall said wanted to make fake, non impressive solo plays by punching through reins shield and nothing more who said it was a nerf.

Wdym! Nothing better than an orisa player clicking shift and immediately gaining:

  • Instant 100 overhealth
  • 45% damage reduction
  • CC immunity
  • Crit immunity
  • Slower heat build up on weapon

All at the push of a button! Very interactive!

Like it’s so crazy how instead of actually NERFING ability and how bloated it is their solution was “add movement penalty” and then later walk back on half of it so the ability just still feels insanely oppressive lmao.

That’s not good enough. She should also get Mauga’s Gunny passive and land automatic crits when she shoots our goodies.

Nah she should get doom’s passive when she uses fortify. Every singular bullet she lands = 40 shield gain.

Does it still get her out of Sigma and Zarya’s ults?

I feel like my best defense against her right now is orb of discord

I don’t find her OP or oppressive myself but I DO think her primary tanking ability should be more interactive for the enemy team.

“You can’t kill me for 4 seconds or stop me from doing what I want no matter what” isn’t exactly the best design in the world.

What if it lasted 6 seconds but wasn’t fully CC immune? Not seriously suggesting this, just saying… it would benefit from some more dynamic balancing- give it SOME meaningful drawback or another, and in exchange give her some self-satisfying power elsewhere to compensate for that.

It should unironically lose half of the defensive effects it has straight up, and then just be on a lower cooldown.

I have this same issue with suzu. It does too much:

  • Invulnerability
  • Burst healing
  • Cleanse
  • Intangibility

Cut the effects in half, lower the cooldown. We have got stop making insanely bloated, not even just heroes, but abilities themselves.

CC immunity and 45% dmg reduction alone is a sufficient enough defensive cooldown. Or 45% dmg reduction and crit immunity. It doesn’t NEED 4 different effects.

What if fortify lost its CC immunity but it WAS buffed to cleanse? And it could be used to overide a CC that is currently affecting her and end it straight up? (So if she’s sleeping she wakes herself up, if she’s pinned by rein she breaks out or at least becomes actionable while he’s moving her, if brig stuns her she can end the stun right away. And yes, it could cleanse anti upon activation.)

This way her ACTIVATION timing is key and strong, but if she pops it early or doesn’t think about it, you can punish her while it’s active.

in comparison, I would say that suzu is a little bit better because the effects don’t last long. Like fortify lasts for a few seconds but suzu is done in an instant. So, you can still burn or whatever the player (still OP, yes agreed).

also, Bap’s lamp is OP.

It would still be annoying to face because you’d still have 45% dmg reduction, instant 100 overhealth, and crit immunity.

Two of the effects need to go and put it on a lower cooldown.

Make it any of these combo of things:

  • 45% dmg reduction + crit immunity
  • 45% dmg reduction + CC immunity
  • 45% dmg reduction + instant 100 overhealth

Also, make the headshot dmg reduction passive tanks have, straight up not function on tanks with armor. Tanks that have armor, especially the newer armor, do not need to have a 25% dmg reduction to headshots on top of it.

i would suggest that fortify makes you lose 100% speed or be stuck at the spot of the casting, just like the fortify that she ALSO have during her ultimate

yes, you can actually extend fortify if you use your ult at the end of the ability.

That would require Orisa players to use their brain. Remember The Red Circle of Death from the Xbox 360? Same thing would happen.
