Why do the devs do this. Its like every patch they pick a tank to buff so you get to see that tank in almost every game. It’s boring when this happens. Can you stop this trend. Zaria Meta, Diva Meta, Hog Meta, like why is this so hard you have been making this game since 2016. I am not a developer but like how many years does it take to get it right?

Blizzard did this with world of Warcraft too. Which is also why that game SUNK and lost 90% of its playerbase.
Blizzard takes a character, makes it NICHE, op and over-tuned… for a select few that can actually learn to play the character. If there is a person that learns the character well. It becomes a very oppressive person to fight against.
I can remember when this was done in WoW with Rogues, Paladins, Death knights and monks. And if the players were not skilled enough to play against a person that knew what they were up against and could not play the stratagy. It was a major skill-gap problem.
Any pro player can come in here and say “none of these characters are op”. Which usually is the case, they are skilled at the game enough to know. But the average “jo” is not going to know what to do. and that is blizzard’s downfall. They make some characters too rediculous to play against for the average gamer, so it causes leaves and massive problems.
they balance a tank, then give them unnecessary buffs, it’s just like Rein this patch.
If they just left tanks balanced the game would be great.
Not op, but orisa is usually both boring to play and boring to fight against, she could do with a buff in somewhere else to make her more engagement instead of her survival- which is already broken.
She’s is the only tank in the game who requires her supports to be killed first and then going for her. With a pocket support, she’s invincible.
Although Rein has massive risks into his playstyle, and he still can be countered even if his supports are alive. Orisa requires her supports to be killed first and then going for her.
They gave Rein double firestrikes doing 100 damage each, charge cancel, 80 damage hammer. Now they buffed the sustain to his shield. Big damage with tons of sustain.
His pickrate and winrate were both high, he didn’t need a buff. I get that dive is the meta in gm, pro play but in lower elo he’s a menace. There’s even Rein one tricks in top 500 who made the hero look broken before the shield buff.
Orisa is far from OP, she is only playable in lower elos and very easy to counter.
Its because Dive is being played more. Im wondering why do people call Hog OP and orisa easy to counter when Orisa has too much of utility in her kit.
These days braindead easy = OP status.
So yes…they think the same regards after losing to these specific heros.
Although I do agree with OP. Playing keep away from horselady is not fun for any tank except Sigma, who has no choice, then a fully charged Zarya because, F that, she is invincible with proper bubble usage and wants to eat every Orisa dishes out.
Maybe Ramattra but its up in the air since he’s a poke tank.
Reaper, Zarya, Soldier, Zen, Sombra… all countering Orisa very well.
I find her fun to play as, and alright it plays against, but then again that is subjective. I do however agree that she should have had a buff to something other than her survivability.

She’s not OP, she’s just annoying as Hell because she can just cycle through her damage mitigation cooldowns and if she has a support on her, she can just barrel through your team.
Survivability was such a weird buff because I didn’t feel like that was the issue. The issue is she’s not threatening enough with firepower.
Imo getting better falloff again would have been nice. Not only did she not need more survivability, but it doesn’t do much as she already takes like no dmg with fortify and armor.
Well, Orisa is not overpowered and has quite a few weaknesses to abuse.
Orisa got a rather massive damage nerf while back that’s kept her relatively far away from top 500 for the last couple of seasons.
She used to have no falloff until 25m-35m. Now, its 15m-35m. This lowered the consistency of her 1shot kills from javelin when you hit someone into a wall. Javelin can stun for 0.5sec and impact 100 dmg if a person hits a wall. With no fall off until 25m, Orisa’s 130 DPS up to 25m meant she could get quite a few picks.
Now, by 25m, her DPS has gone down by like <100 DPS making the long range kills rather difficult to get.
Rein no shield to GM lol. Oh and Lifeweaver is good with Rein specifically.
The best way to deal with orisa is to shoot the people around her, she will fall apart the moment the enemy supports/dps arn’t their to help her.
