I mean she is okay… but compared to other tanks especially barrier tanks she is pretty trash in my opinion, the only thing she has for her is the fort plus her halt thats it her barriers are absolutely trash.
And apparently when people comment " Oh man she needs a buff" everyone and their dog says " Just get gud" and literally they only say this cause their hero isn’t nerfed yet and soon after here they are on this forum saying crap bout it and how it’s not fair, counter point I don’t play orisa literally picked her up for a game to see what changes they did to her a while back and…YEESH they nerfed her into the ground so bad she should be called " coffee" and not a tank.
It sure is a good buff but she still has 0 mobility and she will still get obliterated by enemies if they try to focus her down.
Additionally, this does not make her any more fun, which is in my opinion a SUPER IMPORTANT thing that HAS to be taken in consideration when she will be reworked in Overwatch 2.
The problem is that her fortify is used more for personal survival, and it’s hard to body block with it. Give her some charge ability to move faster then put melee to 60 dmg as a kick. With all the damage in the game, she can’t sustain in a bunker comp. Instead, make her a warhorse, charging in and kicking them in the face.

My idea was to make it so you can’t crit her head during fortify or to give her a movement speed buff during fortify at +30% similar to Torb and enough to negate her reduction while firing.
If the character you used to play is no longer played and you see it as a chore more to play them, thats not balanced thats like trying to build a canoe from a tissue box, point being if she got nerfed to the ground with her barrier then why keep reins over double hers and sigma still has a ton of barrier too, ya no… she is literally unplayable even in qp, even the people who literally pick up the game for the first time that make the mistake of priortizing tanks over the support will kill this metal cow in seconds if she isn’t pocketed meaning they are rewarded for the wrong strat and they take these ideas into games of just shooting the tank in the game and not flanking the supports or gunning them down from behind the tanks.
See even the nerf effects other areas than just the hero it effects peoples priorities and in all honestly if you are to trade a tank for a support, and your team is the one whose tank died, that is value in comp because now they only have one support to do all the rest of the work. while they only killed a tank and you still have 2 healers, sure they have two tanks but really the support unless freakishly amazing, will not sustain them until the other one returns and the fight is lost.
Oh hello are you here to argue for the sake of arguing? Orisa was never a popular tank.
All I said basically is I still play orisa, orisa is harder, here is what works for me, and I love orisa. Your shallow opinion will never change my mind for my most fave played tank.

I never said orisa was a chore. I hate played rein and I don’t play sigma. I won’t conform to the type of shield tank you want.
Orisa isn’t for the lighthearted. She isn’t easy and that’s another reason why I like her. Similar to why I like Baptiste.
I have no doubt though if this was a topic to buff orisa though you’d still speak against it as do many people when it comes to the fears of double barrier.

BUT
1.) this is not the part of the conversation and literally has nothing with the discussion at hand so it’s invalid, sorry not being rude but theres a time and place for everything.
2.) I’m not trying to “Hey every drop this trash hero” no I don’t care if you pick them up or put them down or toss them left or right, I do not care, what I care is that she is realtively weak compared to other tanks like rein and sigma who do her job and better, THAT is what this discussion is about. period.
And yes she needs something, a buff a rework but she needs something, her movement while shooting is crap, her regular speed is crap, her halt is good and so is her fort, but her barrier is crap too, she needs something.
I would love if they increased her shield to 700, to match the other shield tanks, with a slight increase in the cooldown to make it fair and balanced. I just want her to be an anchor tank.
