It was a really stupid decision to buff Orisa when she was at the peak of her power. Not because she is OP. Just current meta is the most boring for the entire existence of the game! So bring me D.va back, Blizzard. She really no needs nerf.

Buff and D.VA has never been in the same sentence for a while…
Dva is one of the best tanks against bunker as her DM is great against bastion, hog and Orisa. Nerfing Dva and buffing bunker heroes is definitely not a smart choice and I am concerned that they will just nerf Orisa after a several patches.

And assuming that your team hasn’t already done something against a stationary target that deals no dmg because of DM.
The Orisa buff and D.va nerf doesn’t change much, if anything D.va is just as good as, if not better than, Roadhog in bunkers and Orisa, Roadhog and D.va together is a popular OWL composition.

I can’t wait until they finally release another offtank so people can finally see just how much a crutch having no competition really is for both Zarya and D.va. Its time that crutch finally gets removed so they can both freefall like the states of their kits actually should but because they have no completion they won’t free fall.

Not really, not with below 4% garbage pickrate from plat to gm and bottom tier winrate at those ranks. She’s already hitting 3% pickrates as the bunker become more and more mainstream.
It’s Orisa/Hog or bust. Dva has no business in bunker meta.
But hey, it’s great that we’re getting a dva nerf right? To dump her out of a meta. :’)

But who knows? Balancing can be a little wack sometimes.
I don’t understand the decisions these devs make sometimes. Why is D.Va getting another nerf? Her stats are fine and I don’t see who she’s supposedly countering so hard that she needs yet another nerf.
But more importantly why in the hell is Orisa of all people getting a buff? Why are so few people talking about her insane winrate? The horse needs a damn nerf. If D.Va had this kind of winrate this forum would be on full meltdown.

Yes really, she has a respectable pick and win rate for a tank across all of the ranks and Defense Matrix still offers unrivaled value as damage/ability mitigation tool. How we’ve managed to go from Roadhog being a throw pick to Roadhog being better than D.va astonishes me, it’s like the whole community has ADHD.
That’s… still not bad.
It’s not like she’s F-tier, D-tier or maybe even C-tier. And her winrate is still positive.
I really don’t see a problem with her current stats. It just shows me that she isn’t meta for once.

There is nothing surprising about it.
Dva is honestly not as good as people think she is. Especially not in bunker. Roadhog is just better with those halt-hook combos because he can kill things in 20 meter range. Outside of goats, dva is far, far worse than the general populance here thinks she is. Dva is not a good pick versus bunker with the roadhogs, mei’s and infinite walls blocking her. Dva is not a good pick versus Rein/Zarya/Ana compositions. Dva is not a good pick versus triplequad dps spam metas with too much damage. Dva is not a good pick versus sombra either.
It’s not surprising dva is dropping because people are realising this.
