Orisa buff...why?

I’m just really curious why they gave Orisa no falloff damage? And full crit immunity in fortify. It feels like a bit of overkill honestly. I get that Mauga was a bit much for half the season, but this feels like such a knee jerk reaction. Orisa already had the strength of being one of the more challenging heroes to kill in the game, but now if she is on a long sight-line map she becomes a pseudo sniper too. I try to give the benefit of the doubt when it comes to changes, but these are just so weird.

I get why they added the immunity to “forced crits”, but the falloff range being removed entirely is just…

Did they not already buff Orisa’s range and then nerf it again not too long after because it made her too strong? Only to now extend it again, but this time, infinitely.

It’s one of those Blizzard Buffs™ that gets put in to the game strictly because of a new hero- Mauga, so she can outrange him- and no other conceivable reason. Because for no other conceivable reason did she really need it. Certainly not total removal of falloff.

They want this year to be Year of the Horse

It’s a reactive change to how Mauga was for a couple weeks. They buffed her so he can’t force crit her with his fire while in Fortify and he can’t outrange her with his guns anymore. Orisa had longer fall-off when 2 released and it was busted and made her an unkillable ranged DPS in short and mid-range. Now, Orisa is basically a poke sniper with no range limitations.

I can’t imagine this one lasting too long since Orisa is already disliked to go against.

Does anybody actually like playing this hero? And I’m not even gonna bother asking if anyone likes playing AGAINST her. They really just need to leave her in the dumpster for the rest of the games lifespan

Because no matter how much people dont like Orisa, she is a bad hero that needs help to be worth the tank pick. The crit changes make sense, because Mauga is a new addition and Forti was buffed back in OW1 to stop crits. Maugas “special” crits are no exception and should be seen as a bug fix.

They even said that Orisa is standing on a 40%ish winrate or something like that in the ranks they balance around (high rank).

Because why not… Embrace the battle cattle, worship the god horse and
cease your resistance

I do, her playstyle changed drastically for ow2, she is now better at playing how I used to play her.

I played rush rushrisa before it was cool.
