Orisa breaks the skill argument

Orisa is the most mechanically skilled tank (unless you count Hammond). She’s very aim based and requires good tracking or projectile prediction (depending on range).

She’s essentially the Tank version of Widowmaker. Sit in the back and aim.

The other tanks like Reinhardt and Winston are harder to play, however, not from mechanical skill, but from gamesense. Their playstyles are more fast paced and risky. Mistiming an ability or having bad positioning gets punished.

Say it with me now: Aim requirement doesn’t have anything to do with a hero’s overall difficulty

Who are you arguing with?

Ok when Orisa flies around a corner at 400mph and domes someone, let me know.

Did someone say Orisa rework? Remove Halt and give her a grapple. Instantly x20 more fun to play.

oh my god that would be amazing.

You don’t need to be super good at aiming as Orisa, because you don’t get hurt until your barrier goes down. Especially since you spend a lot of time shooting barriers.

You say she requires good aim then you say aim and difficulty have no correlation.

Except Widow is pretty much useless unless you have goo accuracy and are hitting headshots. And she doesn’t have a barrier. You can have 10% weapon accuracy as Orisa and still be useful.

that is so false on so many fronts

orisa is the least skilled tank. She is the most forgiving tank out of the whole roster as of now. And the “aim=skillful” argument is the most stupidest argument in the game as a whole. Aim=/=skill aim is a skill. it does not equate skill. She is least skillful tank as all you need to know is how to sit back and relax and shoot in general direction of enemy ( she doesnt even need to aim ) She doesnt care about the so many risks rein winston hammond and every tank has to take, or make hard decisions either.

Don’t forget Orisa can spray 300 bullets non stop instead of charging shot like Widow, and no one really expects Orisa to get pick after pick with some sick shots like Widow, it’s not her job.

What if she could Halt herself?

Yoink yourself up to the highground, or use the Halt+Fortify bug to fling yourself forwards at the cost of both their cooldowns.

I literally pulled that out of my bum on the fly, but now I kinda wanna draw a grappling orisa

Double barrier give a bad reputation to orisa, shooting shields instead of using good tracking/prediction. I mean It’s really fun killing pharas who thinks it’s an orisa not a big threat (same when killing her with mei).

* and/or

At long range she requires both.

Widowmaker mains.

They’re prideful and noisy and think that aim is the only skill in the game.

Fritz threads are usually “this is my opinion stated as a fact” to open the floor for a discussion based on it.

Not an ideal method, but it does open up productive conversations. And at least they’re confident in their standing.

Well, the average Orisa accuracy is only 27%, yet her damage output per match is higher than most DPS heroes with higher accuracy because her clip size is obscenely generous. She can fire for 12.5 consecutive seconds, which allows her to achieve huge damage numbers even with awful aim.

In theory, her kit has the potential to be very mechanically challenging, but it’s far too forgiving in its current form, which allows her to easily spray and pray her way to success.
