Orisa and Doomfist players

Which of Orisa’s abilities are your least favorite? And/Or what do you enjoy about playing Orisa?

For Doomfist Players…
How would you feel about Doomfist becoming a tank? He’d be able to absorb damage and then deal a devastating strike with his abilities. What do you think about that?

No. I want him to stay as a high skill ceiling flanker. I don’t want to be the target of more CC and nerfs than I already am. The amount of complaints here would be just as much, just for different reasons.

Ok, well in a perfect world, where the CC in the game and damage output is balanced out. Would you like to see him as a tank?

Never lol. It wouldn’t allow me to make plays on my own. Having the burden of having to protect my teammates is no fun. I like dps cuz I get to be a free spirit

I would much rather they make him just a really quick character that has CC, but a low TTK. Like Brawlhalla, you know? You could chain attacks on a character, but CC will make u dead. U could hop into a backline, hit an ana twice, get slept, and dead. Or. Hog goes for a cheeky hook! Ohohoho, shouldn’t’ve done that! You’ve now hit him into your team, hitting a nasty punch into backwards uppercut, then finishing with a slam into your team, dragging him along with you. In total, you did 100 damage, but it sure as heck was fun and capitalized on bad positioning.

Bam! Now you have a character that doesn’t double dink you while ur incapacitaed in the air, but can still capitalize on you if you share your braincell with the rest of the team.

AND HE’S HELLA FUN TO PLAY.

You just described a worse version of what doom is now lol.

I was planning on making an rework idea for DF, he’d very well be able to make plays on his own. His mobility and CC would probably be the biggest thing to tune down. But he’d be well compensated ofc.

I mean it’s unfinished, but I think it would be really cool.

But there’s a lot of the fun of doomfist in his mobility and stuff. Without cc, he can’t do his job. I like him cuz he has big damage numbers and mobility but takes a lot of effort to get maximum value from everything. Brawl doom just isn’t as fun as punch around the map doom. I’d probably just not play the character if he became an off tank because so much of his burst potential or mobility would have to be taken away, probably along with his skill ceiling

While I agree that him being a tank would suck, it’s for different reasons. Like, I think him having burst is bad, its not fun for the game, but being hyper-mobile is fun, so long as u cant get kills and get out because of it. Like, you have more mobility when you are attacking someone, or an endurance bar. You go in to their backline with no clear positioning strat? Bam, you’ve used 1/2 of ur endurance just to get there. You got them low. Oh, now you’re dead.

Using fortify and then spamming “Golden. Golden. Golden”

Least favorite ability: Protective Barrier.
It’s too weak and has a really high cooldown.

What I enjoy about playing Orisa: Becoming immune to CC via Fortify.

Heavily depends on the rework for doom. If it dosent allow me to do rollouts anymore and makes him a punch bot brawler than I’m not on board.

I can tell you now, in my iteration he won’t have vertical mobility at all. It wouldn’t work all that well in what I’m putting together. But I’ve put together what I could reasonably be. Just wait for it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Doomfist should be a counter against snipers and pretty much better than any other DPS at melee range

But instead Blizzard goes against the nature of this character and gave him the second biggest hitbox in the game with 0 protection against CC plus, every other DPS with less skill required can counter you or displace your playstyle completely.

Any other DPS can ;

-Escape
-One or two shoot you from range.
-Displaces you
-Stuns you.

Junkrat? = grenades / bouncing / traps
Mcree? = 225 hp/ stun/ fth / roll away
Ashe? = two shoots you / pushes you away / snipes you etc
Widow?= Wallhacks, poison mines, hook to get away.
Echo? = Fly and burns you from range.
Phara?= Displaces you.
Sombra?= Invisible, teleport, hacks you behind walls etc.
Torbjorn?= Press E to never die against Doomfist combo also turret with autoaim deletes any close attempt.
Hanzo? = Jumps back, deletes you before any gank or frontal engagement

Doomfist? a MELEE character =

-Uppercut cc removed
-Seismic slam cc removed
-Meteor Strike ult nerfed
-Seismic slam range nerfed
-Rocket punch hitbox nerfed

Meanwhile

Uppercut 0 damage bug still exist
Sliders still exists
Seismic slams no damage and no indicator still existing

Ok… Respectfully, I’d hope this didn’t become a complaint thread. If he were to become a tank, what aspects would you want to stay? If possible I can try to implement them in my idea.

I think, just make him hit hard, idk

Or - you could exchange his HP pool to his shields passive or something

I don’t want his kill potential to be reliant on just landing the punch any longer. You’ll see m8, I’m working on it right now. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I am in favor of many heroes getting a role rework, but I personally don’t think doom should be one of them

ball is already a better version of what doom as a tank would be. Not to mention 2 hypermobile slam+knockback tanks existing at once sounds oppressive af

I like everything about Orisa’s kit. Unfortunately, they like weakening her kit so “other” players can have fun.

Doomfist was in the tank role. It was a disaster. History was made when he found a home in the DPS role. He isn’t giving up his crib for you.

*other - weak players that need nerfs to help thier weak skill.
