Can we please get an optimization patch for the FPS next patch? I mean the optimization is very well done by Blizzard yet the FPS has dropped drastically patch after patch since i bought the game. It used to be very stable but now it drops in between without any reason and team fights are just horrible. Changing the settings doesn’t work as much and the drops are still present. I love this game over anything and i would just request Blizzard to release an Optimization patch as soon as possible.

Hm there are instances where my frames have dropped from 200 to 60-70 for a split second usually when a lot of ults are going off or full team fights in very small areas.
I would say some optimizations are needed but I wouldn’t say an entire patch is necessary.
OP means a patch to help optimize Fps (Frames per second)
Or in other words, a patch to reduce lag…

The only problem i had, was an increase of ping by 20 since brigitte came out.
I used to like playing the PTR in my laptop . but now is not even worth it . its get too laggy .
Every patch Blizzard makes for this game is already technically an optimization patch. Each patch usually has some sort of bug fix or performance tweak. Although I agree that the performance of the game seems to have continued to go downhill over time.
When I first bought the PC version back around Summer/Fall 2016, it ran like a dream, but ever since around the time Doomfist dropped and highlight recording was added to the game, performance seems to have gradually decreased with almost every major patch. Some patches will randomly increase performance and then other patches will bring it down again.
Right now I sometimes dip below 60 FPS @ 1080p Epic which is crazy since I have an RX 480 and most people with this card are able to get almost twice that most of the time, and I never had the issue before.
It’s tough for Blizzard to fix because they can’t just take your word for it that there’s a problem with the game and not your machine. But I’ve done everything as advised by Blizzard to optimize performance and there’s still random frame drops here and there. It just seems like if you’re not on the absolute latest hardware you’re bound to run into issues as the game gets updated.

I play the game on SLi GTX 1080’s and I’ve noticed many fps spikes too. Nothing drastic but fps does drop by 40 ish fps for a second or so sometimes.
It also happens with SLi disabled before anyone comments “it’s the SLi support”
