I would love to see a patch that made The game more playable for very low end systems
Fortnite recently received a patch like this. It is amazing.
Furthermore it can reduce the amount of disk space required for the game by using low resolution textures
If we are trying to make the game as inclusive for everyone as possible then I believe this is something worth considering for overwatch 2
PS4 version could certainly do with some love.
Probably because it started like this and then it went through the ground with all updates, fortnite went from a 30gb game to a 100 gb game and the framerates just dropped
You can’t really optimize overwatch, it’s been 25Gb since launch which just screams amazing IMO

Besides low quality models idk what else to do, compressing the game for space will 100% hurt performance

We need low graphics on console, i cant do the oasis rollouts because of the graphics

I don’t know. Left 4 dead takes up only 6 GB. And I can run it at 1080 p 60 FPS. Ow 720p 50% render 40fps
Low settings actually don’t remove most things from oasis so it makes me lag everytime I play on it (pc)

Left 4 Dead is a decade behind Overwatch. It’s not even remotely as good looking. You’re obviously running the game on a toaster. Get a better PC.

This isn’t just about me though this is about the success of the sequel and its popularity will very much rest on the question of can people run it on their machines?
CPU plays a large role in performance of modern games since they’re much more complex than a game like L4D2. Simply having lower quality graphics doesnt guarantee any improvement in framerate.
Jeff has also stated that the minimum requirements for OW2 will be going up.

Game is more popular when it looks better, not when it runs on a toaster. You’ll be left behind when Overwatch 2 launches. Probably won’t work at all on your system.
Adding low end graphical option won’t help. It’s sorta like Cyberpunk on PS4 - game engine simply won’t work on a dated hardware even if you reduce the resolution and texture quality to nothing.
By the way, a PC that can run Overwatch is not “gaming PC”, just average PC. Gaming PCs run Overwatch in 4k/144fps.
No I disagree the game is More popular when it runs on a toaster there is a good reason that league of legends and csgo has maintained its popularity for such a long time
Nobody cares about how good a game looks beyond a certain point a game like this you quickly forget about the visuals and the focus becomes about the gameplay and visuals only factor in if you literally can’t see something or it’s very unclear
I’ve never played paladins so I’m not sure. I would call OW more complex than the other three, though, yes.
