Tanks can actually die in that mode and looking at the last couple of open queue games i played it honestly feels way better.
I suggest everybody to go give open queue a try. And now that every other role has fun characters it won’t really bother me to play support or tank.
Blizzard definitely should take some notes and make adjustments to tanks like open queue. Not as aggresive as dropping rammatras hp to 300 but at least somewhere in between what we have and what open queue has.

Open queue you mean the mode where last to pick has to be expected to go solo support?
Solo support doesn’t really suck tbh and suprisingly enough i only saw a solo support in 2 games i played so far. On 1 game after some time someone switched to support aswell.
Also come on if you are picking last you are bound to pick support unless someone is eager to play them. That’s just how it is. And like i said i actually don’t mind playing support now that we have fun heroes on that role.
It’s still GOATS 3 tanks 2 heals zzzz

And if you play a normal or normal-ish comp you destroy them. Players have the mentality that tanks are still good but they are not really. Anyone who tried that got destroyed pretty much. Usually it’s either 2 tanks 1 dps 2 healer or 2 tanks 2 dps 1 healer or just the normal OW2 comp

Na Rein is broken in open queue, pair that with Zarya bubble and defense matrix. Worst time ever.
Eh idk i played against a rein as sombra and he didn’t really stand a chance. But rein himself is pretty good in the meta (according to KarQ) so that might have something to do with it
The best way to play Overwatch is to not play it.

Not in anything higher than diamond lol. Only DPS I’ve seen is a top 50 DPS getting hard pocketed
Ehh. You can’t argue that fighting tanks feel way better though. It definitely feels like a breath of fresh air being able to rack eliminations and so on.
I’ll most likely not touch the role queue until they adress the tank issues. Open queue seems like the way to go for me. If that doesn’t work out too i’ll just quit or just come in from time to time.
For myself, open queue has to many balance issues that role queue generally solves. Role Queue has inherent restrictions on what can be comboed meaning particular team effects can’t run away.
There are enough tools in a given roster to make adjustments to most things. You can’t make up skill diff hugely, but you can still mitigate the amount of skill diff in the game.
I don’t really want to see Overwatch become like a Yu-gi-oh TCG where its been around so long its power crept and powercrept combos to 1-2 turn combos are actually the norm.
As a support main this might actually be best for me.
If what people are saying is true and the other supports are just DPS imitating, then I’ll easily out support them.
Stuck in bronze atm and can’t heal my way out of the idiocy
i would play open queue more often but most of the time it takes 2-3x longer to find a match than RQ
I did and it’s still garbage. I will never understand the OQ crowd.
Lmao you wish, I’m a support main and all I ever want to do is solo heal but at best I get to co-heal, and if I don’t instalock support, then I’m forced to play… ugh… dps.
That mode is full of support players. FULL.
That isnt GOATS, actually
GOATS is a 6v6 arrangement
Personally, I vastly prefer Role-less queue mode over the excessive waits, absence of flexing, unnecessary restrictions, and other severe problems 122/222 added to the game
I would agree if mystery heroes didn’t exist
