How after my last Overwatch Open Queue official rank back in season 17 that was 2971 , diamond actually, now in season 33 I played the 10 open queue placements again and I got ranked gold??? 2215??? with 8 wins 2 loses at least I should be 2900? and yeah I was super good because I was playing against not so good players (gold and silver ones)! My gameplay wasnt gold for sure, so dont make fun of that… what is wrong with this, jesus, even at the last role queue I played, I played the tank one and I was plat at least… I wanted to do a comeback but wtf this is completely unfair… I am so frustrated omg, the role queue shouldnt matter, open queue is different and I was diamond there. i didnt want to think that this is a dead game but it apparently is
Yea yea sure, dude is gone for 3+ years and you’re still the same?
Don’t think so…
Also i would know, i’m in the same situation.
Though note since RQ has been released, Open Queue has had a complete MMR reset, albeit that it was ages ago.
You’re going to start around gold-plat for your placements, if you were truly a diamond player you should manage getting there before getting placed completely.
Of course you won’t be able to play with your full potential because your team synergy isn’t the same as in Diamond.
But you can pretty much carry many of those matches, after all you play quite some DPS.
But of course you won’t be as good as you were 3 years ago.
Map knowledge goes away, prediction skills, team synergy and so forth…
Since you’ve been gone, players have been getting better.
The requirement to reach a certain rank goes up constantly, therefore even if you were as good as you were back then (which i doubt) then you wouldn’t place in the same ranking.
That seems high. Most diamonds from 3 years ago are silver.
