Nobody even plays support except me and maybe some other dude plays tank, having role queue and open queue alongside each other doesn’t work, it’s one or the other.

Play in EU. I’ve always got another support and when I don’t, we win anyway because I’m so awesome and can do the job of two supports!

If you don’t like it, don’t play. No one is making you. I’m a support main too, and I did all 10 placements where I was usually the only support. Sure it wasn’t an amazing experience, but if you don’t like it, don’t queue for it. Simple as that.

I dunno. Everyone in EU is nice to me. “thank you End, you’re amazing!”, “we love you End!”, “omg End, how did you become so awesome?”, “End, you’re a god!” That’s just a few quotes from today’s games. 
I played a few games thinking that open queue would be like the good ol’ days when I enjoyed the game a lot more but it was just disappointing. It didn’t feel like before and it was just not fun.
open que was me solo healing, sometimes running 222, some goats, and mainly no cordination. nobody used coms unless they were insulting another persons gameplay, and it was just a huge yikes from me. i placed way lower than i ended last open que season because i lost 7 out of 10 placements due to like 5 dps and me being the only healer.

I know. That’s what I wanted too. To actually have fun with it, you’ve gotta queue with at least 2 other people. It sucks tho cause none of my friends will even play QP, let alone comp.

Except it does work. You are not forced to play open queue. What is with all these people who have decided “I dont like it, therefore take it away from others who enjoy it”

Sounds like a case of Rose-Tinted-Nostalgia.
Open Queue is literally what Overwatch USED to be before 2/2/2 but the “RoleQ Bad” Mindset makes people forget everything but the few examples of Good times they may have had during that era.
It’s like when you look back at past times as you remember them and then as they actually were and realize that the past sucked 9/10 times

people complain about GOATS but I never had this in my group in open queue. Most of the time, I am solo heal there too…
Open Queue does exactly what it was supposed to do.
Soak up a ton of excess DPS players out of Role Queue.

Love how everyone was complaining about 2-2-2, and then when blizzard give back open queue, threads like this pops up.

Because they have been stuck with the s*** 222 queues and want to play dps
People are probably just settling back into it. My placements were a disaster and it has been for a little bit… but I’ve recently had a few games where people are being cooperative on their hero picks and playstyles.
Then again, who knows. People are so entitled… more so now than ever.
