Open queue is so stupid its either m and k territory or goats comp so cancer and of course my team fully enforces the idea that 6 dps is the best option guess im never getting ranked in that i dont have the inspiration it was fine in the first season but this is just dissapointing

I just play Lucio with my 5 dps. Works pretty well.
But surprising number of games for me are 222, or 1 tank, 3 dps, 2 support. Even got spanked one game where enemy was 3 dps, 3 support.

Heh. Fair enough. I just like being able to play Torb again. Not played him for ages (Only did 1 dps placement with him last season) and getting some great Sr gains and, more importantly, having fun.
Just a note that my support SR is 2.4k. Just not placed season 23 yet. So open queue interesting as I placed 1480 for that, but getting +30-36 per win, and -18/-19 per loss.

Of course i would dominate in bronze but its a bannable offense if i started throwing to get there and its also plain out wrong

No throwing involved. Just went 2-8 last season and placed super low. Did real bad trying to keep my teams topped up as everybody just face tanks 1v6 in the open and gets chunked. One game saw a 30hp Reaper dive in 1v4. he died. Crazy…
Now I’ve adapted and I just play dps or play Moira throwing 99% purple orbs. if I heal stuff it’s a bonus.
I win on a descent scale there is a very little chance ill even drop to diamond by the time i dropped to gold id be banned on the spot

I dont really care what my teammates or the enemy team pick. I do my tracer, widow or whatever I feel like doing and try my best.
If I wanted quality comps or to do tank or support I wouldn’t touch openQ to begin with, it’s more of a warmup mode for me. Like a better version of team deathmatch.

Atleast team deathmatch is fair but its a team based game if ur team picks terrible characters u have to be good enough to carry and i really dont feel like having to use 6 controllers to win if it wasnt such a problem why did it get removed in the first place

Unless you’re referring to “Mouse & Keyboard”, which then I’m guessing you’re a console player, otherwise no, I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.
Basically there are no high ranked console players and their just no lifes who buy a m and k use it on console and cheat cause blizz doesn’t t care fair game

Role Queue was added to do away with the nightmare of terrible team compositions that Competitive was plagued with for many seasons.
Open Queue was always going to be that same nightmare. It was never going to be any different.
It’s a perfect example of the old “be careful what you wish for” adage.

Id expected a multi million dollar company to fix problems not cause more all they’ve done is make broken buffs destroy characters with nerfs and allow cheating

This old chestnut, whereby you’re convinced that supports are just heal bots to keep the dps fluffed…
When I play support at 2.4k I focus on healing.
But in bronze team mates, especially dps, are often utterly brainless and will do crazy stuff like go in 1v6 standing in the open. Or a team mate will take damage and go to critical health and make no attempt to retreat.
There’s just nothing you can do for team mates like that.
But the enemy dps are just as bad, so you maximise your chances of winning by killing them faster than your dps get themselves killed.

You have to dps with her. She’s got no utility. My biggest issue has been being too passive with her. I’m trying to play her more aggro.
Watching ml7 on her, he’s just super aggressive on her, and still does loads of heals.
