I guess anything that doesn’t involve Stadium development is being run by interns now.
They need to normalize all open queue modes in a 6v6m2t format and be done with it. What’s taking so long?
Prefer just role queue. Idc about dps and support queue times. Open queue just causes too many problems where I’d rather just wait out however long the queue is for the popular roles.

The vast majority of casual modes, especially the ones in the Arcade, have always been in an open queue format. It looks like 6v6m2t is here to stay and it’s a superior open queue format, as far as many open queue adherents are concerned. If that is the case, then it makes sense to normalize them all, including Mystery Heroes, so we don’t have this hodge podge of different OQ balance and rule sets that need to be kept track of.
New maps featured in arcade were role queue for the past couple releases. They have the technology for it, they just didn’t bother to make Aatlis RQ for whatever reason.
great idea actually, i bet people would play arcade more often. especially assault mode (2cp)

If this was the case, which I can’t confirm because I don’t remember it being a thing, then it was a departure from 9 years’ worth of past precedent. An exception to the rule, if you will.
It looks more like a bug for the moment, they added it into 6v6 with the patch on July 8th, but then removed that patch note because it still isn’t in the list evidently.

I’m pretty sure Samoa and/or Clash was role queue at least. I remember being glad that I could finally select a role for an arcade mode. A departure from a terrible system is a good thing, not sure why they would go back to OQ except purely out of negligence.
