Only Healers Forbidden to Enjoy QP

DPS feed all the time, DPS one-trick hard enough to decide most matches at their team’s expense. DPS refuse to coordinate and synergize more than any other role. DPS blow up on you all match if you ask them to drop a Biotic Field for you. “But it’s QP” is always the response… that’s debatable enough.

Tanks do the same thing sometimes, but they get away with it because we’re all waiting 5-10 minutes for them to end the queue.

Healers? We don’t get to say “BuT iT’s Qp” if we decide to stop doing our jobs and just try to do a little practice.

I want to practice my triple-headshots as Bap and Quadruple-headshots as Lucio without my team constantly whining at me for not healing them. “BuT iT’s Qp” suddenly doesn’t cut it anymore, though! “JoIn ArCaDe MoDe” suddenly becomes the main argument whenever healers want to enjoy some casual fun whenever a lack of teammates willing to protect you makes it impossible to do anything else.

Want to know what they start saying again if I ask them to protect me or swap to help out if they want more heals? “BuT iT’s Qp”, and “PlAy CoMp”…

Work on your headshots in bot matches until you’re decent enough to land them enough to not be useless while also healing

Nah, I feel like having casual fun after that without getting grilled for it. Like DPS and tanks get to. Because “it’s QP”.

that is the saddest statement I’ve read in a long time.

Because you’re incapable of understanding the idea of scaled training?

I honestly ignore it. Like I don’t care at all. I didn’t spend money on a game to not meme out or practice in a causal game mode. In Qp, I will play whatever I want whenever I want. Their opinions are irrelevant. Hell, your opinion if I should swap or not or whatever is irrelevant. If I wanna pew pew pew more on Mercy for funsies, I will, when I feed my brains out on widow bc Im bad but enjoy playing her and want to get better, I don’t care I’m going to play her anyways. Like my Ana and my Zen have gotten so much better because I fed my brains out on them in qp until I started learning how to make better plays and decisions on them. Don’t hold yourself back and have fun and practice how you please. People are stupid and take things too seriously. Don’t let people hold you back from having fun or learning to how to get better because some 4head is triggered in a game mode that doesn’t even matter. If you really need to just mute it all. Believe me for every good call out there’s about a thousand useless garbage ones so listening to anyone is pointless- esp in qp. People are going to talk crap no matter how well you play or what hero you are on, tank, support, dps, literally does not matter. There’s always going to be toxic people unfortunately and you are only in control of yourself and your actions and your plays so don’t focus on what other people are saying because it does not matter.

I’m really in the middle on that one. I totally support role freedom and hero freedom but at the same time people should also be giving wiggle room on swaps or playstyles if it’s necessary to avoid ruining the entire team’s good time. Asking someone to play near healers even if it doesn’t mean swapping is still enough to cause problems socially… Zoo animals, the whole lot of them.

You’re asking to practice, in a largely uncoordinated game that you illustrated above, your offensive capabilities (which are largely unnecessary), in a quick play game. You won’t have the time to do this without hurting your team.

Feel free to do this in any mode at any time. No one is holding a gun to your head and saying you must play “X”.

This may get you reported for gameplay sabotage. Once again, you know your role, you know you’re not being forced to play it, but you will be required to perform what your role requires. Doing anything that doesn’t meet that requirement, may be considered grounds for a report.

Nuh I never throw, just meme a little sometimes. I still play my heroes I’m good at well, just like to have a little more laxed games sometimes. Helps me practice my pistol as well and test some limits. I will never intentionally throw, I want to win. Winning is fun.

But it’s quick-play…

Might as well just suicide off cliffs, after all it’s just quick play.

Not allowed to do that as healer, unfortunately… only DPS and tanks seem to have that luxury.

Well I try!

I can’t help it if Wallride keeps saving me.

Huh? I say it all the time. And nothing has ever happened to me.

If it’s just QP why do you have comms turned on at all?

What could they possibly have to say in QP that’s of value to someone training themselves to pop off on battle mercy?

Im not one to advocate for problems being solved through the use of a ‘toggle’ but ‘it’s only qp’

It never does. I hate this argument. It’s not an excuse for being uncoperative and diving 1v6 or something.

Yeah, I go to comp and it’s the same feeders and throwers, only now there’s an added bonus of someone leaving and me having no backfill, so I’m stuck playing a 5v6. It’s always the same, DPS get countered the whole game, ask them to switch, “chill, it’s just QP”, but if I don’t pick a shield they’re ready to report me.

DPSers in QP: Lol only QP dont be serious
Also DPSers in QP: OMFG BAP! HEAL! FFS!!!

Yeah consistency in DPSers in QP isn’t that great. They want to practise their Widow and not contribute one bit to the fight, but moan their lungs out when they get dived and killed all the time because obviously, it’s the healer’s fault.

Wot? I’d say that in OW1 tanking feels the worst in QP, not healers. But healers do come close second in how bad it feels to play in QP. I fear that’s going to get even worse in OW2 but let’s hope that won’t be the case.

Ranked is equally fun to play in all three roles at least.

I agree that healers get the most hate for not doing their job properly though, even in QP. I constantly get spammed with “I need healing” whenever I pick zen and our tank decides to feed all game. On the upside, I rarely get hate messages from DPS playeres in QP so that’s a plus at least.

I don’t even blame the tank players sometimes, this game just forces supports to almost become a healbot in order for tanks to stay alive and play the game. But sometimes I want to win games in QP instead of being my tank’s servant and keeping them alive all game while our team is losing. And that involves me letting my feeding tanks die so that I can start fragging as zen and actually turn the game around.

DPS players acting like hypocritical spoiled children?

Say it ain’t so.

Sounds like they need to practice their positioning and game awareness.

Soimds like they need to adapt.

OK… But its quickplay
