I’ll have to wait and see on that one . I do feel people that buy the premium battle pass should get a discount on any skins released during that term.
Free to fill queues for whales yeah. Everything about this game is objectively worse AND they brought down the 1st game so they could charge insane prices for 6 year old skins. Just say you don’t care about skins and leave. Your opinion is worthless in a thread about people that actually care about the full experience.

its hard to imagine they wouldnt still do something for each holiday.
theyd push out several skins per event, and the oct/launch bp is kinda mid af and is not very halloween themed. so its probable they’ll push something out by the end of the month.
its potentially bad either way, if they dont make the events anymore so they can force feed ppl BP skins or they do the events but make it so you cant earn the event skins from playing at a reasonable pace ppl are going to be pissed.

I expect them to go the Halo Infinite route.
Keep prices high, and free ways to attain low. Get the whales to shell out money, then after a few months increase the currency obtained and reduce prices for the non-whales.

the thing is there arnt enough new skins to justify it.
there are 3 characters and all the pre-existing characters got a free ow2 skin. if you were going to bait whales youd release with like 100 new legendarys spread across all characters.
I’m pretty sure that’s what Apex does. Haven’t played through many events on there but seems unless it’s a collection event. The holiday stuff goes to store only and some of theirs are 60 dollars for a skin, granted you do get 60 dollars worth of loot boxes with it but most of the loot boxes don’t have the holiday stuff in them to my knowledge.
Don’t forget you have to do all the weeklies to get that. Lots of those weekly challenges are for no-lives and flex players.

Man I haven’t played apex since launch lol. I hear people being like yeah people still play apex! but I just never see anyone actually playing it.

It’s the most popular battle royale right now and I believe like second most popular shooter of this year so far. I been picking it up again lately with some friends and its the first time I’ve played it since launch. Their store had me shaking my head, but I think blizz might give them a run for their money. I think on apex it takes like 3 weeks to grind out a legendary skin roughly but it seems a lot of the more limited time event skins can only be gotten with cash or if you just had a lot of the currency saved up you can get prolly one.
Blizzard needs to change their mindset with the battle pass.

This drip feed of coins has left such a bad taste in my mouth. I have played other F2P games with battle-passes and this is by far the most exploitative. I probably won’t be around for much longer. They ruined the Overwatch series.

Not even close. For a F2P game where you can actually get almost all the content by just playing the game and saving up in a reasonable amount of time look at Genshin Impact. Different genre but it shows that F2P can be done without being exploitative like this.

Too much stick and not enough carrot.
Like the SMS debacle, this feature will change. New players as well as new players used to f2p aren’t going to stick around for a BP you have to No Life with diminishing returns.

I think the 60 coins is a total fake out
Everyone knows it’s a ridiculous number so they will pretend to be reasonable by raising it to 100 (which is also riculousy low)
