One Versus Five

Why is it that players decide to attack an enemy team alone? Do they really believe they’ll win it? I notice this is usually ranks but I have seen even support and DPS do this.

Edit: It is okay to poke the enemy safely. That isn’t what I am talking about.

Ever heard of this phenomenon called “Small dog syndrome?” Yeah, that’s your average Genji player

The funny thing is they could probably get that potg moment if they actually let your team distract the enemy team and then blade.

It’s also prelevant among tanks now, ya you are buffed, even on zarya you can’t 1v5 though

Tunnel vision maybe

I do go and troll 1v5 as sombra or kiriko though, it’s worth the ult charge and lols

It’s acceptable to poke enemies while you’re waiting for your team to regroup. As long as you’re doing it safely.

Maybe I’m just really good and know they don’t stand a chance. But my lags bad so I died.

Well as a Pharah player I can generally poke safely which means I’ll have my ult up for the next real engagement.

So there’s that.

Tanks think they’re immortal.

DPS don’t know anything but deep flanking.

Support are fed up with their team and feel they need to do it all themselves.

Or they’re being dove.

Whatever reason, everyone is trying to get their sick PotG

Maybe they’re people used to games like Call of Duty etc where you’re effectively a one person army who can pop off at any moment you want.

you mean your suicide button, why ?

I use it for trades, or to solo ult someone tbh. The psychological impact of a solo barrage seems huge for some reason.

Yesterday I had the enemy Moira screaming at me in match chat because I ‘solo ulted’ her ‘in between teamfights’ lol.

No, I intercepted both her and the enemy Ana returning from spawn and ulted them both to force their team to either wait or engage 3v5. They chose to engage :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll edit the Op to reflect that in cases like the one you mention are perfectly acceptable.

Sombra can usually gets away with it. You would be surprised at how easily people get distracted and end up chasing her across the map in the opposite direction of the objective.
