No one is asking for Hero 29 anymore on the forums, and no one seems too unhappy with Halloween being pretty much the same as last year.
So the reworks and buffs/balances seem to have worked (for now). Either that, or people are busy playing other games. Who knows!

Hard to get hype about hero 29 when 6 out of the 7 dlc heroes have been heavy cc.
Based on the track record, people just don’t want more awfully designed characters.
Also it’s the start of AAA game season, so many people are playing other games.
I think people might just be more satisfied with Blizz saying they want to focus more on quality control than additional content, getting the game to a better feeling state with less focus on new heroes.
That and we’re all expecting 29 to be revealed at Blizzcon, so there’s not much need to speculate.
What else can we talk about new hero?. There has been no hints. There is just few more days for the big day and plus they are some exciting new games coming out.

Same, I’m one of the “complainers” and I just see angry posts all the time.
We’re all playing other games. We have a feeling that the new hero will be another CC or shield hero and so we’re not looking forward to it. And for the event, same event the last 3 years, not exciting at all.
well we won’t mention any games that people maybe playing. But I would guess many players have jumped ship. Fortnite
I am super hype about Hero 29.
The thing is though, we pretty much know it’s coming in a Blizzcon announcement so I don’t know why anyone would go on the forums and ask for them.
2 weeks till announcement so more speculation from next week for sure.
Also they told us in the dev video that future events were not going to be massively different so I think we all tempered our expectations.
The problem with Summer games was that in the first year they told us that year 2 would be refining the modes and that new modes might appear year 3 and beyond so everyone hyped it up like mad because we legit thought the plan was to spice it up for year 3. If they had told us beforehand like Diablo just did with their Blizzcon announcement then we’d probably not get so bummed.
Hype is one hell of a drug
I haven’t even tried Hammond, I would honestly like more maps/gamemodes over new heroes.
