Overwatch’s biggest rival releases!
Who will win?

Depends on who goes to play it…if it’s all the nonstop complainers then that’s a win ![]()
That’s not the interesting part to me though…I’m more interested in seeing how long it takes for the conversation around that game to look exactly like the one for this game (since they’re basically the same thing)
So that is everyone.
If the devs are just as tone deaf as the OW ones, sure it will.
Both games will keep a decent playerbase, and people will realise that ~the rival~ in question isn’t actually enough of an Overwatch clone to be a satisfactory replacement.
Everyone
Most people on forums…yeah
Its funny that they aren’t really acting like they have a time limit.
This. 100%. MR is set up to go the exact same path OW1 went down. I would even bet money on it. Should be funny ![]()
I don’t know exactly what it is that makes me dislike it.
3rd person
marvel
I don’t know since endgame i think the movie was called (which I haven’t watched) There was so much hype I considered it spam and maybe it left a sour taste in my mouth?
could be I haven’t played a good game about super heroes since the amazing spiderman (just swinging through nyc)
And overwatch scratched that itch by providing new heroes, where MR brings just the old known?
(Atleast to my eyes)
I sincerely don’t wish any devs the fate of concord with their project, unless it really has no value. (like there are worthless games out there)
Maybe I just haven’t found or seen the thing overwatch made me feel, When the tracer, Winston, widow and reaper animated short and recall dropped.
(I was also a 10+ year wow fan pre overwatch, funnily, It was Overwatch what pulled me out of world of warcraft.)
Amazing spiderman? like the one based off the andrew garfield movies? Both of those games were kinda meh tbh. The ps4/5 spiderman games are amazing
(Edit: pun not intended, lol)
Gotg was another good superhero game. it was surprisingly good considering the previous marvel game (Avengers) was so poorly received.
If there is no rework on Widow I’ll be heading to rivals. Haven’t tried it yet so hopefully it can give me at least a month away from the current unfun state of OW with widow in 70% of games.
Maybe, just maybe, the dev team can figure out that if you nerf the hardest counter to a hero with almost no direct counters then you also need to nerf that hero too or they will dominate. Any child could have told them what would happen with Widow.
Think of OW like Mcd’s, and Rivals like Burger King. They’ll co-exist peacefully.
Speaking of, if for some reason they released BK’s mascot The King as a hero in either game I’d main him until the day I died ![]()
Youre staying on ow2 mobile though right?
I dont understand this thing of people needing to turn everything into us vs them. If whatever new game in this genre comes out and is good, everybody wins. More good games, more competition forcing the existing games to improve, everybody wins.
its a new game vs an 8 year old game, its quite obvious who ‘‘wins’’ but we won’t actually know who actually wins until the end of both games, then you can compare success baby not at the start
rivals balancing is garbage the whole team up gimmic is absolutely broken, with op advantages, itl devolve into a screaming fest of pick a hero that teams up with me or il throw
Literally all team based shooters are said to be this… Yet all fall in obscurity. This will be no different
Even OW2 managed to fall short of Overwatch, maybe it is literally true ![]()
The idea of one game over taking the other is a silly thing to look forward to. OW will more than likely still be the #1 hero shooter.
What we should be looking forward to is the idea of OW having competition. For 8 years OW has been running a race that had no other players in it. Now, with rivals being competition, Blizz is going to have to really bunker down to keep players interested in OW or theyll just jump ship to the next game thats a ftp hero shooter.
I think it’s safe to say Rivals is winning… for now!
Twitch numbers also suggest interest in Overwatch is at an all-time low at the moment!
