i can not deal with all these sym h8ers , good or bad people complain about her , u do good and people say that its cause she has no aim , shes a one trick pony , shes broken blah blah u do bad and its the same thing. i for one like playing as sym and am quite sick of people telling me i should not pick my main. i play to enjoy the game not defend who i choose to play as. super sick of the sym h8ers!!!

I try to play Symmetra in every situation I believe she is good in. (not too many) and even I think that she just really needs tools so she isn’t just the most situational hero. Giver supportive abilities to actively help the team, not try to set up once on attack, have it blow up in 1 sec, than wait a full minute to set it up again. Her shield is so flimsy and goes away too fast as well, which is her only tool to actively support…

I would strongly argue the animosity towards off-meta picks is the developers responsibility to fix.
There shouldn’t be any “troll pick” characters in the game.

I have nothing against sym players, but she doesn’t fit well with most comps and sometimes it just doesn’t work.

Personally, I don’t care about meta/off meta picks. We all have won games with “off-meta” heroes. However, when it clearly isn’t working, my hope is a player would have enough self awareness to pick something else.
In comp, I will literally do whatever it takes to win, regardless of comfort level and any hero

no but id rather enjoy my game time playing the character i want to play without having to hear people complain about sym. good or bad people do it and it sucks. like for real when u play good , people blast u saying its cheap and stuff because they dont know how to counter a character who requires thought and planing to use , not to mention i get people with bubbles and they still say no aim blah blah. it really sucks the big one. and it feels awful for people who enjoy that character. i get some people dont like her , but like have common sense ! why ruin someones game play before a match even starts , or even after. like its a god damn game why the hell be rude AF to someone because who they pick ?? like get over it. i think people should be able to pick who they want and enjoy overwatch for what it is a game.

Well that’s the trick, there will always be most optimal picks.
But there shouldn’t be “you are basically throwing the game” picks.
Merely somewhat less optimal picks.

I think you’re coming at this the wrong way. I play a lot of heroes and just treat Symm or Torb as a type of SM gameplay. I understand you want to be praised, but sometimes, the howls of fury and anguish say the same thing as words of praise.
But seriously, if you enjoy it, just play the hero. Symm is in an awful place in the meta now, but it doesn’t change what your actual play or contribution is.

regardless of meta or optimal picks , if someone has good stats with a character they shouldn’t be bombarded by hate because some dont like a certain character.
example : if someone has over 200 hours with sym and the rest of the cast for that profile has low game time , why complain? they are taking their best character thus all it ends up is that sym players get bullied to pick something else and its not fair. never have i seen a sym tell someone to pick someone else or that who they picked is awful and that makes the player an awful person because of it. its just awful to have that happen to someone and thats what im talking about. sym is a character that requires planing to use properly , just like torb. they both require that u think before u act compared to the rest of the cast of characters who just rush in. and on another note its how a character is played that counts the most , if someone with 1 hour of sym game time is playing and not playing her properly then yeah i understand why some are frustrated when they see her , but that dose not give the right to be a tard about it and bully anyone. but for sym mains out there , for the most part mop the floor and clean up the stage if played properly.

I hate to say it but your main is busted. The devs say she is busted. She’s gonna have a rework in the near future hang in a little longer and people will no longer be able to cry.

No, its your narrow thinking make sym even worse, i have played a match with dive team and i can work a lot if the team work WITH me, not around me

This is the difference between “one trick” and “main”, main does switch, one-trick doesnt, dont assume main doesnt switch for better goods, doing that just spread toxicity
