I really hope these new competitive matchmaking improvements are good… Fingers crossed.

True; the only thing I am excited about is the competitive matchmaking improvements they stated were added. Other than that I think the support buffs/nerfs are trivial.

…So, just so you don’t get your hopes up too high. I’m expecting matchmaking and/or queue times to be really bad this patch.
Given that they’ve done basically nothing to gain/maintain Support players.
They are going to have something like 1/4th less Support players, and 1/2 more Tank players. And that ratio was already really bad.
Even with the improvements, I’m guessing it’s going to be…really bad

Unfortunately, I believe you are right in regards to the support queue times. I gave support a try last season but gave up because of how defenseless they felt. The quality of support players was already declining and I believe this new season will only expedite that.

Well on the flipside, things are going to get so bad, that the devs are almost going to be forced to fix it soon enough.
Never mind… matchmaking is still abysmal.
That’s the thing, it’s only getting started on how bad it’s going to get.
