You guys should back to play CS , CoD or other realistic fps games, OW is not for you guys.
I still can’t see any problem with a hamster in the cast, he has any story, lore and more already said by Jeff during dev update.
It’s really fun to play with him and will require skill to play.
You all should give a chance and time to see how Hammond will develops.

agreed, I ran out of likes today so I’m just gonna respond. I wish they had chosen some other pilot for the mech. Or maybe made it an omnic even, that could drive the lore forward, an Omnic as the junkertown champ, that would be interesting… A hamster is just too out there for me even though there isn’t anything I can do about it really except get over it bc I still like playing the game… It just takes away from the story imo

Chi isn’t an energy you can project into a destructive hyper lethal attack. That isn’t science, it’s fantasy.
To me it’s not about a smart hamster…
It’s about a giant rolling ball,
swings around at a moments notice
its all in 3rd person and super fast
If it was just a hamster in a mech with some new abilities thats different
How can you fly? Energy. How do you get to the moon? Energy. How do you travel back in time? Energy.
Good work, very descriptive. Think you’re missing your calling as a scientist.
I mean there is. I doubt it would be as cool a hero but with the kind of crazy magi… I mean science going on in the universe anything seems possible. Certainly not as crazy as summoning magic dragons or time traveling.

Doesn’t mean it is real or possible. Realism is one of the dumbest things you could try to fit in any game let alone a game like Overwatch.

The universe is not silly, you act like it’s borderlands.
This universe is about war, corruption, anti heroes, violence, loss, terrorism, you name it.
Most the characters have tragic backstories of loss, sure some are funny, but even characters like Winston, Junkrat, and McCree have pretty deep back stories that aren’t funny.
I believe what people are trying to say is seeing this hamster roll around just takes away a from the tone of Overwatch that has been in every animated short.
I love the new hero, think he is cute and fun, but I do have to agree, it’s kind of a slap to the face.
Especially when you have characters like Widow, who killed her own husband and was kidnapped by a terrorist organization.
Man we need more lore and animated shorts😂

Next hero will be a super intelligent pet rock that heals people with fruit loops, surely it will be D E V E S T A T I N G.
The rock would be stuck in Winstons shoe and when he takes his shoe off it flys into a super smart lazer beams focus. From there it would have won numerous beauty contests of course, but no one really knew it was a rock this whole time because reasons.

This expanded universe, maybe. The universe actually seen in the game is anything but the grimdark edgelord noire that people make it out to be. The same goes for most of the Animated Shorts. And purely personally, but - I tend to find the comic books’ attempts at drama to be generally pretty superficial and trite - about on the level of episodic 90s children’s cartoons. Pirates of Darkwater and Swat Kats and the like.
It is a bit jarring for people to look at a fictional universe that’s not allowed to show blood or death on-screen as if it’s Warhammer 40 000, though, I’ll give you that much. The culture clash is real.

So you are going to sit there and tell me all of the stuff in OW is believable? A mech that heals people as well as kills, a half human half cyborg ninja, time travel, making stuff out of thing air etc. etc.? But an enhanced Hamster isn’t? LOL Is that was you are saying?
