It needs some sense of structure. Its incredibly unorganized and complete chaos. Group finder right now is undisputedly the only way to play proper Overwatch and that is NOT ok. You try to be a decent teammate in solo play and you get punished for it…in a game that requires teamwork to play. Blizzard please you HAVE to do something about it. Quality games shouldn’t be completely dependent on using group finder, sometimes people just want to load up the game and play. That shouldn’t be basically a death sentence fun-wise.
I find that when I use the group finder I lose more games… You’re going to go up against another 6 stack that has a high chance of having a smurf, or are better than your group. I have better games in Solo Queue.
At least those game will have more structure, if you lose it was because the other team was BETTER, not because your team just could not work together. A problem solo absolutely suffers from.
Most of my Solo Queue games have a 2-2-2 and good comms. I think you’re over exaggerating a bit.
I think it’s a console thing.
OW on Console has always been a joke. It’s not just Comp.
It likely is just a console thing, doesn’t mean it should go ignored though.
I think the issue is that you primarily play main tank in Quickplay.
Specifically Rein and Orisa. Two heroes who arguably require more coordination and support from their team than any other hero in the game. In a game mode (quick play) that so often lacks any type of team play.
Why not go play competitive? I think you’ll find your efforts of playing main tank will be much more rewarding there.
It’s unfortunate but that is the nature of QP and it’s probably not even on the radar for any type of change.
I didn’t even realise you were talking about QP jesus. Well of course! There is no structure in QP at all. It’s mainly used by people who are warming up for comp, or for people to play heroes that get shamed upon in comp. QP has never had any structure and has always been chaotic.
I simply do not like competitive, people’s egos get super inflated to the point of stubbornness and I’m not into that.
Quickplay is supposed to be the standard game mode, comp is where you go to play above and beyond.
It is supposed to be. But that’s not what OW players turned it into. They turned it into a practise ground for comp. A place to warm up. Sure a lot of people only play QP, but when there’s nothing on the line no one is going to take it seriously.
Unfortunately it will though they dont care about console.
Still don’t like that that’s how it feels…
Wish that weren’t the case though.
Shouldn’t need an incentive to be a decent teammate.
I know, but that’s OW for you.
That’s the whole point, it shouldn’t be. We don’t need to settle for ever bad situation, this is a game that we PAID for, dissatisfaction shouldn’t just be the norm.
That’s every game ever. Of course everyone would love the ‘perfect game’. But in reality, no game is perfect.
How exactly is Blizzard going to fix this? They can’t make people talk on mic, they can’t force people to listen to a shot caller, and they added in LFG because they know they can’t force good games in solo play.
This isn’t a Blizzard issue it’s a player base issue.
Don’t LFG players in comp games always have the little symbols specifying how they queued? In that case, I only even see them maybe once every 15 games.
