Overwatch 2’s release window presumably got “leaked” a few minutes ago, it is scheduled for release sometime November 2021.

How embarrassing… a live service multiplayer game goes 2 entire years without any solid new content…

Devs, everyone has a limit to how patient they can be you know??

Like, don’t get me wrong or anything but if this “leak” is true, then this is just straight up ridiculous and upsetting.

They’ll give us “some news” at Blizzconline in February and then, YET AGAIN, go quiet for ANOTHER 10 months for the game to release?

Surely I am not the only one who feels upset about this?

This is quite worrying if you ask me.

I was having a pretty decent day, until I heard this load, I am VERY frustrated right now.

I absolutely, with all due respect, REFUSE a November 2021 release window for Overwatch 2.

I am VERY passionate and proud about playing this game, and to see it go 2 entire years without any concrete content is unacceptable.

I might be giving into my emotions a little too much… I am sorry… that’s just… how passionate I am about Overwatch, my pride won’t let me accept this none sense!

Have you been sleeping on the content we’ve still been getting or nah? We just got a new map…

Just because OW2 is out in the future, doesn’t mean we’ve had 0 content in the meantime.

OW2 is a expansion of stuff that we should’ve already gotten. Team 4 should’ve gotten this in the bag unless some corporate clunkery is going on behind the scenes.

No heroes and most other stuff because they developing the stuff for the new engine… thats the reason. The new map is maybe the rest they had already read for the OLD engine.

It’s like body blow after body blow. Kanezaka and priority passes aren’t enough sustenance and priority passes actually was a pretty big blow to match quality for me. I don’t want to have to arbitrarily wait for heroes just for that chaotic, big release feeling. I just want something new to change the game up.

trying to balance the game and shift metas can only please people for so long. the game gets very repetitive and we will now have to wait another YEAR???
im starting to lose a lot of hope for this whole OW2 thing after how much they tried hyping it up

That is why I’m trying my best to just erase the whole existence of OW 2 from my head… for the time being.

It is ridiculous to wait THIS amount of time.

They could just stay silent and tell us about OW 2 this year… not 2019… :weary:

To sum it all… My hype for OW 2 has already died out. I don’t even play the game anymore :frowning:

Not sure why this is going to be a problem. They aren’t abandoning OW you know. Or if you didn’t know.

I guess that’s a matter of perspective. I have sure seen a ton of content in the past year. Even this month.

This is complete speculation. They have been providing updates occasionally, and there is nothing to state they won’t continue that.

I know many who would welcome it. I mean, its a PVE based game anyway. So what the actual hell is it going to affect???

Has nothing to do with OWL. Has nothing to do with content creators, hell if anything it will prop them up more.

OW2 is a game facelift with focus on PVE elements. The new game modes and characters will be made available to OW as well. So I’m not sure why there is a problem here?

Hell, I’d be happy as hell its coming within a year. If that is true.

It affects everything and everyone?

There are thousands of people who are heroes-starved. The tank and support roster is scandalous in comparison to DPS role.

WE WANT NEW HEROES!

The only reason we get nothing is that lovely PVE BASED GAME, which most OW players do not care about.

Even got a new map!

As for the roles, well, I can’t fix that, and apparently they aren’t either. But just because they haven’t doesn’t mean they aren’t doing stuff. Just not stuff that you want.

We still got content. We got new skins, new events, and we even have a new map now. Plus outside media like the comics and short story.
Sure, it was not many, but it sure was not 0 content.
